Ole Miss signs the #1 QB in the nation...

So LSU is going to sign the:
#2 cornerback (Smith)
#3 cornerback (Mullen)
#4 cornerback (Fulton)
#2 safety (Monroe)
#4 outside linebacker (Divinity)
#5 outside linebacker (Fowler)
#5 defensive tackle (Lawrence)
#6 defensive tackle (Alexander)

Good luck Mr. Patterson.

ETA: since I'm getting down votes, let me help you make the decision to down vote easier:

Ask Deshaun and Alabama what wins championships. Defense.

I wonder if any of those corners play quarterback?

Well It bothers me that Ole Miss is getting the #1 QB that played in our backyard and we haven't signed anyone yet. BUT I won't lose any sleep over it and I definelty won't be wishing him any luck.

Eta: Maybe it's more because I hate Ole miss. We have a great class regardless. Two of the guys in the OP may not be guaranteed takes.

We have a great class...without a QB.

Ole Miss is completely set at QB for the next 3 years. Kelly then at least 2 years of Shea. they will have very high level QB play for the foreseeable future, I hope Harris can deliver...

couldnt we have just signed Shea as well in addition to that monster haul and not have anything to worry about at all in regards to Ole Miss?

Ole Miss's 2nd option would have been whom? Juco? 2 star in state product?

Sometimes the have's have to keep the have nots down...unfortunately we are currently a have not at a pretty critical position.

Why do you clowns keep saying this kid is "from our backyard"? He's not or has ever been a Louisiana kid.

Shea is not from Louisiana. Yes he played here his Jr and Sr year, but he is from Texas

Lol, can't believe these guys are scared shitless because of Shea. Till this day I feel we won't ever play a better passing attack than what Geno, Tavon Austin, and Stedman Bailey gave us. Over 500 yards, but we forced turnovers. Shea can throw all he wants, but when D-linemen and linebackers are knocking you around and breathing down your neck the whole game there will be bad passes.

Well, considering that LSU hasn't won a NC in 8 years despite routinely signing top-flight defensive talent every year AND generally having a good defense, I would say QB play is still pretty damn important.

That same Alabama defense that gave up 40 points and 550 yards of offense? The same one that Watson absolutely shredded and forced Alabama to try a risky on-side kick because they knew they couldn't stop Clemson? Alabama's defense didn't win that game for them. The offense that (with the aid of special teams) put up 45 won the game.

QB play is and will always be pretty damn important.

Alabama won that game because of special teams. Clemson drove on them all night long. You need a qb to beat Bama and as of now we don't have one.

I would not consider north Louisiana as LSU's backyard. South Louisiana is where LSU gets the pick of the litter. North LA has Dallas area, Arky, Bama, the Mississippi schools all right there in driving distance and some closer than BR.

Alabama won the championship because theyve updated their offense.. Defenses can no longer be relied on to shut down up tempo offenses at a shut down level consistently.

Fulton, Lawrence and Mullen are not committed. Lawrence may be considered probable but the other two are questionable. There is hope but don't start fapping just yet.

Alabama won the NC game because their upgraded offense made some big plays and special teams made some huge plays. Make no mistake about it tho Alabama won a NC because of how good their defense was.
