How many WRs do we HAVE to get bottom-line in this class? All of these points play a role;
1. We have Simon, who can switch to WR.
2. What about RS? If we have a need, he seems like he could fill it with a full offseason of concentration on it.
3. With Peterson looking really good as a pass-catching TE, does he take some pressure off? Could the staff just use him as a hybrid?

I have, but thanks for the flame. Maybe I haven't read every word in every post, but I haven't seen any recent mention of how Shepard or Peterson will play into the situation. Just looking at things from that angle.

Bottom line? We don't HAVE to have any.

We've got 5 receivers on the roster, plus a handful of guys playing other positions who can play receiver (e.g. Russell Shepard, Richard Murphy, Drayton Calhoun, Morris Claiborne).

Then you also have several ATHS in the class who could play receiver (Simon, Blue, Gibson).

But it would nice to grab one or two receivers. We are thin at the position.

Word is the coaches would prefer to keep Simon on defense where he has monstous safety potential.
RS has reportedly asked to play more WR and he's certainly got the ability.
Peterson has all the tools to be a big-time tight-end so I'd as soon keep him there. Tolliver has great speed and could step in as a D-Byrd type of player.
The situation isn't really that bad since you know going in who your two lead guys are and they're pretty damn good.
