You can't CB to the school they're committed to.

I think there were a couple guys who did that last year who just ended up signing with the team they were committed to anyways. A lot of kids like more attention around themselves on NSD. I'd be slightly concerned as an LSU fan, but not overly worried.

And for the guy who said "look at who Texas has put in the draft", I'm sure the way Strong responds is "look at who I've put in the draft". It's clear he's very good at developing talent, and I'm sure he's selling the 3 freshmen all-Americans he had on his squad last year as something Fowler could get. But Strong's in-game management and decision making is often questionable at best and he needs 8 wins to stay at Texas next year.

From Horns 24/7

quote:

— Charlie Strong’s first in-home visit of the day was with Manor defensive end/outside linebacker and LSU commit Erick Fowler. I spoke to a source who said that visit went well for UT, but he still believes Fowler will stick with LSU on National Signing Day. With that said, this will be a heated battle until the end.

Nothing you read will be really valid. Time to let Erick make his decision and then time.

At the end of the day, it is very hard to steal a kid away from his own state, especially a state whose university is as prestigious as Texas. Not only do most kids like to stay home, they also don't like to disappoint their friends and families by not staying home. This is why I'm upset with Fulton, but oh well. Move on
