If he comes to LSU, a third of the fanbase will immediately consider him to be the best QB on the roster.

I've seen talk of him getting a year back because of an injury and possibly having 2 years; only way taking him would make sense.

Well he meets the requirement for that. It's called being 6'2 or taller and white.

Worst case scenario is he is a serviceable backup with some experience in 2017 assuming that one of Harris or Etling is no longer around. That way McMillian and the 2017 signee (or signees?) won't be forced in before they're ready.

At this point I wouldn't care if the right guy was an Eskimo, my favorite TIGER QBs are in order Davey, Mauck, Tyler...Im in favor of offering Scott. After all the trouble we've had at QB suggesting that most or alot care what color the QB is is well...unfortunately not surprising

Well you can't expect the third that already thinks Etling is the best QB on the roster to suddenly jump ship.

Yes he is. Whether he ever takes a snap at QB is another story.
He's applying for a medical redshirt to have two remaining years of eligibility after sitting for a year here. His GF goes to LSU also. He wants to be here and LSU needs more depth, but I really doubt he ever makes a push for starter.

Some message to him on a board said something like "thanks for coming, you have some talent, hope you can go somewhere that has an O line that's not getting you killed every pass" or something like that so who knows, I'm for it if it helps our depth but its ridiculous that we are continuing to have to take transfers years in a row from guys that are toss ups whether or not they even have close to the talent to be here. That should not happen at lsu
