The 6-foot-4, 220-pound Lee asked for - and was granted - his release by Tulane last week after speaking with new Tulane coach Willie Fritz, who will run more of a read-option, zone-read based offense with the Green Wave. Lee is a traditional drop-back passer.

If Lee transfers to LSU - or any other FBS school - he will have to sit out the 2016 season because he will not graduate from Tulane this spring.

I like Tanner. I used to always make jokes in '14 that he was wayy better than AJ

I saw Lee play about 3 times this past year. I like him. He can play in the SEC IMO.

No offense to the young man but don't u think if he was a really good QB they would actually tailor their offense to fit him?

La. college teams don't believe in that.

Tulane does not have the talent or offensive line talent to run a pro style offense. Lee was getting killed in the pocket. They have no choice but to resort to a running qb.

Jeff Driskel put up pretty big numbers at La Tech.

He was a redshirt sophomore this year. If he transfers he will have to sit out then only have 1 year left?

That won't change at LSU, unfortunately.

Agreed, if Mike Neu would have stuck around, things may have been different. He did wonders with Ryan Griffin
