Received a call from from one of the LSU defensive coaches to come to the university to have a look around the campus while he was in Baton Rouge accepting the Louisiana Football Magazine Defensive Player of the Year.

I know everyone thinks he is too small to be seriously recruited by LSU, but when you are an undersized DE and you accrue 21 sacks, 34 tackles for loss, 74 solo tackles, 15 assists, 89 total tackles, forced fumble that was returned for a TD, 9 rushing TDs and a receiving TD on offense; I think he deserves some attention.

He may only stand 5'11 (as of now) and 240lbs, his heart is of the size of a kid 6'4, 265.

High, high motor guy. I doubt LSU takes him just because of height, which I hate, but the kid can play. I was very impressed with him in person. I admit I was surprised by his size after knowing his stats coming into the game. I hope he stays home and excels at Tech.

Yea not enough for me to follow.
I just noticed the OP started a thread about this kid in October. Apparently he's a family friend.
Good luck to the kid, hope he lands an offer somewhere.

Wouldn't Tahj make a great inside linebacker at LSU, 240 lbs with speed?

I am a family friend and proud supporter of Tahj's. Everyone seems to think he is too small to play big time Power 5 football, but height should never define who someone is nor their capabilities.

I see they have him listed at 6'0 & 230lbs, but he is more around 240lbs and runs a high 4.5 low 4.6 40. I would love to see him play at La Tech and they are showing a lot of interest in him.

He will play LB at the college level. He is doing what is being asked him by the Ruston High coaching staff by lining up at DE. LSU is also interested in him at FB, but he will play LB.

Tahj gives a shite and it is quite an accomplishment for him!
He was 2-5A All District Defensive MVP, LSWA All State Honorable mention and LFCA All State First Team.

Kid needs to get to as many camps as he can and work out at ILB!! I hate that he is playing DE for Ruston

Kenny Bell took him to the Bama camp last summer and he participated at the Ole Miss camp also last summer. At both camps he was positioned at LB. Saban told him he wished he was 2" taller. Ruston seems to be bad about putting kids in positions where they can't truly excel and achieve scholarship offers. Look at the past 5 years and they speak for themselves.

I hope some D1 team takes a chance on him at ILB. He's built for it and has good speed to play the position. I think this is a kid that would excel at TCU or Utah.

Don't see why he wouldn't be big enough, isn't he close to the size of Devin White, who seems to be doing well?

Good luck to him, it's nice to see kids that still want to be Tigers from Louisiana.

Like I said, there isn't enough to follow on the kid. Apparently the scouts don't see enough in him. I won't pretend to think he can play LB in the SEC without any recruiting site having info on him and without a single offer, just because some random post says so.
We have bigger and better players on our radar. Not being mean, it's just the truth.
Like I said I hope he gets an offer somewhere. Maybe La Tech or another school in state.

Intravec......if he wants it bad enough.....he is plenty big enough....make sure he never, ever lets anyone outwork him no matter how much bigger or even smaller the other guys are (practice or game). Then once he gets it--- defend it like a pack of wolves are trying to take it from him...

get to camps, get his name out there like you are doing here...and crush it...

I hope LSU offers...
