He could have Byrd type impact.

I also wouldnt want a decommit for someone we may get and wont be as solid on signing day

Some people blow me away with the ignorance. Was it that long ago that we threw it often enough to make Jamarcus freakin Russell the number one overall pick? Anybody remember that #15 kid who threw the last second touchdown pass against Auburn. No Miles just runs the ball. Blahblabla. Well when you have two dummies at QB for four years the options can be quite limited. (and sometimes quite successful!) Pull your head out of your arse people, and if you can't I'll personally buy you your own houndstooth fedora so you can fit in on your next bandwagon.

What was the story with offering the Juco TE?

Surprising. Especially if you are trying to land Smith who is a top100 player at the same position and located in-state.
