Some CJ quotes from todays Ole Miss article.

It went great," Johnson said of his time with Nutt. "My mom asked a lot of questions and I think he can help me be a better man, a better person and a better citizen and all that good stuff. Coach Nutt and I, outside of football, we're kind of alike.
"He's got a big lake by his house. Guys go out there and fish all the time. He's got woods back behind his house so you can hunt. He's got horses. He's kind of more of an outside-type guy and I love to hunt and fish."
The Rebels were in a good position prior to the visit, and Johnson's interest elevated during the 48 hours on campus.
"I speak pretty highly of them right now," Johnson said.
Johnson said he'd solidify his choice in a couple days but already has a idea of where he'll end up.
But just because he could make his decision, it doesn't mean the public will know the answer. Johnson plans to announce is college choice in the Neshoba Democrat the morning of National Signing Day.
Johnson is "not sure" if he'll visit LSU Jan. 28. He visited the Bulldogs the weekend of Jan. 21
One of Nutt's sales pitches to Johnson compared Ole Miss to the current national champion.
"He told me it's just like Auburn," Johnson said. "He said they were a darkhorse until they got Cam Newton. He said if I came in, I could make a really big difference in the program and I could help them take that extra step. He emphasized how badly they need me there."
Johnson is also being recruited by other in-state prospects committed to Ole Miss. He admits a bond with Mississippi recruits but doesn't think it'll have a strong impact.
"It's cool and makes it special to know everybody," Johnson sad. "It kind of opens you up a little bit more because you're more relaxed around people you know. It plays a part in my decision but not a major part."

If he didn't commit and makes trip to BR he's ours!
Hopefully the kid is smart enough to see through some of that baloney from Nutt.

Auburns transfer QB - Cam Newton - Heisman winner, NC
Ole Miss transfer QB - Schaeffer, Masoli - 0 Heismans, 0 titles
Not so easy to just add a piece to the puzzle and win it all.

If he doesnt make the trip to LSU then you can say that 100% lock to Ole Miss. But not committing on whether or not he would visit LSU while talking to an Ole Miss person doesn't =Ole Miss lock IMO

If Yancy wrote this, it could easily be exaggerated and taken out of context.
It truly is remarkable and troublesome how a kid can go from recruiting against the Rebs to being a rumored "lock".
I still think he visits LSU this weekend and is an LSU Tiger. It just makes too much sense. We have been with him from the beginning, and oh, we actually win games.

Wasn't from Yancey, if it was I wouldn't have posted. Ole Miss Rivals.

It really doesn't make any kind of sense for Mississippi kids to be turning on State for ole miss at this point in time. Troublesome is a good way to describe it if you're an om fan.

Looks to be pretty clear what's happening at Ole Miss. He goes from talking trash about Ole Miss to being a "lock"? Nothing seems fishy about that

Kid has got to be smarter than to fall for that line of BS

You guys are missing the Point. Nutt just used Cam as an example of a guy who came in and took a team to the next level. Nutt just said if CJ came to OM then during his time there he could take OM to the next level. You don't think every coach does this? It's a very common tactic.

btw, as an LSU student with Ole Miss family, I want him at LSU. i just think he would be utilized much better here with Chavis. It just makes absolutely no sense for him to be at OM. We have too much going for us in this one to lose him a school riding off of 45+ years of pillow fights with State.
Now if he was out on the Square last night, I could see him being a rebel. God forbid we take our recruits to Tigerland.

No, I think he's just referring to the outright buying of players the same way Auburn does.

Let's be fair here. He is a blue chip player for sure, but the rebs' defense is not going anywhere until Nix leaves. I hated the nix hire from the start.
