We just have one or two options is the Greek and Kasongo. I think the staff is turning their attention to next year's class.

It's probably going to be a long wait from here I would guess.

He didn't start or contribute for Southern Idaho Midwestern State Community College but he'd start at LSU?

Plus I believe Moo state asked Newman to commit now so they could show Kasongo the future and that he has a scoring support. Newman will have NBA scouts all over the program.

Yes. Newman was just a pawn in the game to get the real jewel of the class, Kasongo. Do you not think LSU will have tons of scouts hanging around to get a look at the potential #1 draft pick?

Most likely.

Assuming Victor is still ineligible to start the season, who are you going to start ahead of him?

Malone? - In the one game he got significant minutes (Ark.) he was out-rebounded by both Hornsby AND Patterson. It's tough to control the paint with a 7 footer who can't rebound or defend

Robinson? - He couldn't get minutes last year when LSU was desperate for someone, anyone, to give Martin/Mickey a break. I hope I'm wrong, but it's hard to expect that he will all of a sudden become a force inside.

Bridgwater? - Plays hard; Is pretty skilled, but other SEC PFs would drool knowing they would be matched up against a 6'4" PF

Epps? - Athletically he might be your best option, but can he handle the physical play inside? The SEC has several frontcourt players that couldn't hit water if they fell out of a boat, but they are generally big and tall with the ability to bang around inside.

So yes, until Victor was ready to go, Kasongo would likely start. Even after Victor was eligible, Kasongo could still give you good minutes. LSU doesn't need him to score, just defend and rebound. Arguably, he does that better than your other options

No shot. He'd be a 10-15 minute player. Maybe more if we really needed some rim protection.

No defense? The frick did you watch? Did you not see all those blocks and rebounds? We don't need offense from him.
