JB has football speed. His instincts are off the chart and in most cases he is as fast as he needs to be. There is a reason he has led the team in tackles the past two years. He will make someone a great linebacker.

I understand the concern about the ACL but from what I understand, the surgery was successful and rehab is going great.

We'll see if Boyer breaks all Swanner's freshmen lift records. Looks like he has a good chance.

I'm very proud of Bolden. And as much as I would like to see him at LSU it sure would be fun to watch him play QB at Army or Navy.

Good to hear about Swanner. He is very good, but measurements are a big deal. If Boyer gains the explosiveness that Swanner has to go along with his size and strength, then he will be as good as he wants.

Gleason is the real deal in today's zone-read scheme's along with Moore. Those two book-ends are going to truly dominate like no other West Monroe squads have possibly ever. The most athletic book-ends they may ever have. Gleason will be better than Brian West.

Ehhh I love the kids and the sky's the limit. They have a long way to go to be better than Blackwell/Davis.

They went against different style offenses than what Gleason and Moore will see and have already seen.

Hard to compare. What I was inferring was pure athleticism from the book-ends. Moore and Gleason are very, very good athletes in terms of foot-speed, quickness and power. They have all the tools to stop the style offenses they will see. Obviously the coaching staff at West Monroe has made the adjustments in terms of the style defensive ends that are necessary in today's game.

I easily could see both Moore and Gleason playing linebacker if this were 2000-06.

Can you imagine these two in two years when Gleason is a senior and Moore a junior, lolol.. Oh, my...

Gleason is an absolutely stud and will be highly recruited. He has size (6'3 and 235), speed, explosiveness, and strength. He will be starting next year for sure. Moore has the tools, has been very well coached, and will play a lot next year.

As far as the 2nd starter, don't rule out the two sophomores Crain and Miles. Both guys are 6'2" and 200 lbs and are bigger and more physical than Moore. Crain is strong and very well coached and Miles is very fast, strong, and extremely athletic. The question on Miles is if he can keep his grades up and stay out of trouble. That is why he did not play this past year.

The bottom line is with those four (hopefully Miles is able to return) the DE end position is loaded the next two years. Moore may start over these two guys but either way the depth and rotation possibilities are very encouraging.

Physical is great, but Moore's athleticism is what jumps out to me. He was containing Warren from Ouachita every time he came it just about. His speed and quickness is what made me catch notice for a freshman. I have a feeling Crain and Miles may be playing linebacker their senior years brother.

Moore is very athletic and he will be very successful, no doubt about it. It would be great seeing those two at linebacker; Crain told me last week that he might want to play linebacker. The coaches were running Miles at linebacker this last year before he left the team. The problem with Miles at linebacker, and to a lesser degree at the DE is his football IQ. He has the "see the ball, go get it attitude" and it got him out of position quite a bit. But so far, he has shown the speed and athleticism to get back into the play. You won't have that problem with Moore and his athleticism will rival Miles.

The offseason will be interesting with lots of experimenting. At 5'11", you might see them try Moore at linebacker. Bottom line is all three will get all the playing time they want and are all too good to keep off the field. Many of us have been watching this current group of defensive sophomore players for a while. Moving Jones to safety and the talented freshmen coming up, the quality and depth of this unit just gets better.

He isn't going to stay at 5'11 from what I understand. They expect him to keep growing.

My only concern as a WM fan will be the offense after Bolden leaves.

Moore would have 3-4 plays a game at West Ridge where he just decided he wasn't going to be blocked and would destroy the center/QB. If you haven't seen the play he made to beat Ouachita his 8th grade year, you're missing out. Best ending of a game I've ever seen. Ouachita undefeated, we had a 2 point loss to Good Hope. Last play of the game. Tied up. Moore pushes the center into the QB, causing a fumble. Zordan picks it up and runs it back for the win.

I hope he does but he will do well at WM either way. I would hate for him to not get an SEC offer just because of lack of height. He is very athletic but I may have been most impressed with how he uses his hands. He is very good at engaging the blocker, holding them off, and making the correct read. If he continues to progress on his current skill set he will get a lot of offers.

A player like Bolden will be missed at any school no matter who is in the next class. I think we may be pleasantly surprised at the skill players coming up though. Hopefully GK continues to develop at QB, Jones is very capable of playing QB, and there is good speed and athleticism in the younger skill players. They lack size and that is what concerns me.

This does not surprise me..

I actually remember watching Hootie Jones in 8th grade against Ouachita and he did something similar, but not as ridiculous as that. Hootie scored three straight times in a row before half. The first TD was from about 50 yards and it was a pass (he was at tight end; called back on a hold). They back it up and he is now at running back with about 20 seconds left before half: they hand it off and he races 60 yards for a td; called back on a hold. Last play of half after 2nd penalty he gets another pass and races for a td; luckily no penalty on the play. Craziest shite I've ever seen in person.

What you saw tops that by a mile lol..

Moore just needs height; he gets that he can go anywhere he wishes barring injury.

What position did he play at West Ridge? I was told by a couple of players, so take it with a grain of salt, that they may try him at DT.

I am just excited about the talent level on the D line the next couple of years with Gleason, Swanner, Moore, Crain, and hopefully Miles. I really think Boyer will end up on the offensive line but will fill in at DT from time to time.

I believe Bolden will get that offer sometime in the next few months.

I don't foresee an offer unless he does well at camp. LSU is after a lot of guys similar to him.

I'd be more shocked if he doesn't have an offer by the end of the school year. This year is not about numbers so he won't get caught up in that mess. I see Jason, Marshall, Bolden and Keys in this class.

That is saying a lot considering Don Shows told me West was the best football player he ever coached.
