JJ27...I left West Monroe in 2005 and went to my first WM game in 2015 since then. I was shocked at the difference in the size of the players and lack of talent compared to back then. Is Neville keeping the players in Monroe? All I know is West Monroe sent LSU the most players from 1995 to 2011 and LSU needs to get back to recruiting the area harder.

I've noticed the same thing. I've heard they've toned it down on the hold backs, not really sure. They have over 2300 students, I figured they'd have a handful of monsters there.

Hold backs are down, but they've changed their approach as far as lifting. They only go up to certain amounts per lift and then go for reps. More into speed than just mass like before.

What I meant was LSU needs to recruit West Monroe, Neville, Ouachita, Ruston, Wossman and Bastrop more and harder, hence the AREA comment.

Bolden is just a pure athlete and is like a Swiss Army knife - he does multiple things & does them well. Think Jacob Hester that can throw & catch as well as he runs. I'd sure like him to earn an offer, he's the type of kid that just finds a way to make good things happen & is smart enough to avoid mistakes.

I'd be ok offering and would almost want to make it "mandatory" that he play both sports. Our baseball team gets lots of exposure and like Kramer's mom, every time he's on the field it'll get mentioned that he plays football as well.

At some point in the future there will be a high-profile recruit who will want to play both sports. Few teams have the football-baseball combo that we have and a reputation of two-sport players might be the difference.

There is a kid coming in this weekend from Bastrop Travez Moore. He is at a JUCO right now. Boom very possible.

WM put him at CF/Safety the entire spring. Then he only played Corner during the season. He was at CB on obvious passing downs, when needed, so probably 30ish all year. The only problem I see with him at safety is he doesn't sit back, he wants to be in on the play. As a kid we had to stop putting him there because he kept making tackles in the backfield.

Think Jacob Hester

No, not really. Much faster and completely different running style.

Been watching Bolden for quite a few years now.. My nephew and cousin played with him. In my opinion, he was the most exciting player in the north Louisiana area last year. He got bigger and stronger and a tad bit faster. Forced WM's starting QB into spot duty. Gave Trey a break at RB and step outside and gave WM a threat at WR.. Had a couple of picks on D..

He is a little older than most kids. He takes classes with my nephew at WM and he is two years older than other juniors. He is no comparison to Jacob Hester.

LSU should offer the kid, he is a baller.

His Birthday is in January. He's always been the youngest on his travel teams.

According to Perfect Game he recently turned 18, so he'll be 19 around this time next year. LINK

Not as many 18 year old juniors as there are 16 year old juniors

Oh definitely, it's due to his birthday being in January. Just how it falls. He could've been born in the same year and not turned 18 until middle of football season.

That's still deceiving though. Sure there are a lot of 16 year old juniors, but there aren't many that turn 16 in their Junior year, so he would only be a year older than the normal one.
