What was the story with this guy. He seemed like a monster, hurt his knee and decomitted.
Processed or did he decommit on his own?

he decommited on his own. He's a great player. I think he didn't want to play second fiddle to LF and that's how he saw himself on LSU's roster. I don't think it would have been that way at all.

Regardless, he will be great for OSU.

He has other brothers that will be recruits one day, so there is still love for LSU.

Processed him like Satan! Just kidding. We would have loved to have this kid! He's gonna have a great career at OSU. He felt his best opportunity was to go play for them. Wish him nothing but the best because after all he is a LA kid! Hopefully he can stay healthy for them.

I tend to agree with this. He is the type of back that really excels in the OSU style offense.

Felt more comfortable at OSU.

Believe he has a couple cousins at the school.

LSU learned a lot from his recruitment and didn't make the same mistakes with the Teuhema's

Not sure what mistakes you're speaking of, but the Palelei's helped Hoko host the Teuhema's.

Honestly think he made the right move. Great RB but his has the Michael Ford build and running style and we have been trending towards bigger backs for a while. He should do well at OK State.

They recruited Boo to be a change of pace back, not transform the offense.
Bottom line was a cousin on staff there, childhood friends on the roster and a promise from Gundy that he'd be the starter when they open the season vs FSU.

I don't think it's as much fear as attempting to maximize opportunity.

This is hat I believe also. Sure you can say he felt at home with OSU and etc, but the main reason was that he'd get a legit shot with OSU plus the comfort was akin to LSU for him. It wasn't just Fournette. Brossette and Guice played a huge role in getting him to consider greener pastures. I believe he's going to be good, and really wanted him here, but most of it is exactly what happened with Blacknall. He was scared to compete with the top level backs.
So much bullshite here.
Had nothing to do with fear of anything. He was going to be a compliment to LF and is better than Guice and Brosette at what he does. His role was clear at LSU and he wanted a bigger one.
Do You fricking idiots realize that the Palelei family home will be where all the Poly players and their families that are on the team and we will recruit will be the place they will gather? Just like Teuhema's did?

It's semantics, but basically the same thing.

You are just taking it personally.

Him saying that he was scared, and you saying that he wanted a bigger role are basically the same thing.

Damn't dude, stop acting like a hysterical woman. The guy believed he wouldn't get enough snaps with the big dogs hence, he left. He went where he would along with the comfort feel like he had at LSU. Nothing wrong with what he did, it was a smart choice on his part. He could come here and prove that he deserved a starting spot.

Look at James White who played behind Montee Ball, but stayed ahead of Melvin Gordon. These guys were all one year behind each other.

All I'm saying is that he committed here but then decided that it would be better to move on from fear of becoming nothing but a change of pace RB. You act like I'm calling him worthless or something. He made a smart decision to move to where he could get legit playing time early and start.

This is what You said about Blacknall a week ago

quote:

don't think the Coaches feel that way. Blacknall was intimidated by all of the WR's and possibly their boisterous attitudes.

LINK

So it's fear with Blacknall, but not Sione? Look, the guy believed he could start over there and would have trouble standing out from the pack here. Like I said, it's semantics really.
