What's up with this? How come 98% of high school kids committ and fax over their info on signing day and the 2% exercise their right to be assholes. Hell make them ineligible for a year if they don't do what they are suppose to do. Too young to have egos like this.

I think thir should be a one week signing period. That gives recruits an extra visit if they need it. But these kids that want to wait until March need to be stopped.

It must start to really wear down the coaches too...kissing up to 18 year olds all year, waiting for signing day, then they don't sign!! I think they should stop the day after signing day. I don't belive all this shite that these kids don't know where they are signing...most of them have a favorite team they support by the time they have started high school, and when seniors, they have ample time to decide on any visits to see if they possibly have a second choice that starts to look good, etc. I think it's all about 15 min. & then some...

A few LSU players signed later, Kendrick Allen and Mark Roman.

There will always be an exception, but I hope we are not seeing a 'trend', for example what Pryor did last year.

I can understand why Pryor did it last year with basketball, but why is Brown doing this?
Does he play any other sports besides football?

actually the system as it was designed would have very few kids sigining on day 1 with the whole recruiting race developing during the signing period....currently, the race happens during the commitment time leading up to signing day....

without the whole "commitment" bullshite, there would be no backing out....either you sign or you dont.....

why? nobody is harmed. Schools don't have to recruit them or offer a scholarship.

National signing day is the first day these kids can sign, so lets not act like they have to do it on that day just because all the other guys do. They are given an allotted period so exercising that right doesnt make them assholes. If they want to shorten the time to sign Im all for that.

What would be great is an early signing period. I think that would go a long way into stopping the last minute switching.

Keiland waited a few days after national signing day to send over his stuff. He was actually giving USC some heavy consideration adn Vidal Hazelton was in his ear. BUt he cam to his seses quickly.

I was scared for a half second.

Agreed, but let's not just limit it to high school athletes. Let's make all high school students sign with their colleges by March - if they have not decided by then, then they can go get fricked. Ship their asses off to war. They deserve it for being such attention whores.

Also, let's make a rule that everybody has to pick his/her job within 2 weeks of graduating from college. What are you, some kind of prima donna that doesn't know what he wants to do with his life? frick off, no job for you.
