Bama fan on the sec rant seems to think that is happening. i have no clue if that's true or not but for the sake of discussion lets say he does leave.

We didn't want him before, why would we want him now that it looks like he isn't good enough to avoid being processed?

i dont think that's why he is (potentially) transferring. pretty sure he was slated to see a lot of PT this year.

We didn't pursue him when he was still in high school. Why the frick would we pursue him now?

I don't really believe that for starters.

Saban would allow a transfer in conference? Doubtful.

dont think he can stop him. the question is should lsu pursue williams. not should williams choose lsu based on having to sit out an additional year.

per them his grades suck. which of course is a red flag. but if someone is transferring there is often going to be a red flag, and there could be far worse red flags.

grades? meh, doesn't bother me. But typically if he can't cut it at Bama for grades, I'm not sure I use a scholly on him here.

And, ETA, Williams would see a ton of pt at Bama this year.

Got suspended from the team on Aug 1

Might not be a situation that LSU wants to deal with

And I remember fans ridiculing LSU staff for backing off Williams due to some character concerns with his recruitment.

You should. It was pretty common knowledge that his offer was pulled. This was way before he committed to Alabama.

We stopped recruiting him about a month or so before signing day, and I dont remember it being because we couldnt land him either.
