they are related, but could both be accepted without the other in the picture.

It blows my mind that you think this job offer and the scholarship offer aren't related.

After the national select tournament Tyron went on record on rivals and said his top 3 was Texas Tech, LSU, and Arizona. There is only 1 reason he is considering Arizona and that was cause of Shea Patterson.

LSU could very realistically have Shea Patterson and Feliepe Franks at Quarterback for 2016 and these guys to throw to.

1. Stephen Sullivan
2. Clyde Leflore
3. Drake Davis
4. Mykel Jones

and 5 if LSU gets lucky and get Darnell Salomon out of Hialeah, Florida going to Champagnat.

And that is to along with guys like Tyron Johnson and Jazz Ferguson, and Dupre and Quinn who will be Juniors then.

Even IF this is only about getting Shea (think it's a little bit of both), DO NOT CARE!

How much did we, and I say "we" because I'm including myself, gripe about why LSU isn't pulling out all stops like the Gumps when LC's girlfriend was given a job at Bama or April got a job in FL just as G. Willis decided he was going to UF... a bunch.

To add a 3rd aspect (mentioned above), even IF this isn't about Shea and IF he's not that great of a coach/intern... he helps recruiting. Maybe he can overcome some of those Gump "assistant quality assurance" knobs that seem to always be in 5* athlete's high school hallways.

I'll take all three aspects, or one. Great job LSU!

semantics

Shea is committed to Arizona, a pac-12 cellar dweller, where his brother is an offensive assistant.

LSU offers Shea and a week later its rumored his brother has accepted a job at LSU.

Based on the info out there it appears his brother is the most important aspect in this kid's recruitment. I'm not saying the guy won't do great things for LSU but stop trying to spin this thing. It's totally unnecessary.

I know they've been a cellar dweller in the past, but they are better than that now.

Sean Patterson

Alma Mater: Duquesne, 2012

Sean Patterson is in his first season as an offensive graduate assistant at Arizona. He joined Arizona’s staff in the spring of 2014 after a collegiate career at Duquesne University and a playing career in Europe.

He was a two-time All-Northeast Conference honoree while amassing more than 6,700 yards passing and 1,000 yards rushing. The Dukes won the 2011 NEC Conference Championship, their first in school history, and Patterson was named team MVP that season.

He spent the 2013 season as quarterback and offensive coordinator for a professional football team in Cologne, Germany. He also coached youth football while living in Cologne.

A native of Toledo, Ohio, Patterson earned his undergraduate degree in psychology with a minor in sociology from Duquesne in 2012.
