so will LSU fans be thrilled or ticked?
I say thrilled as AJ and JL will both be 5*. I do get the sense that Hilliard drops a little but thats just me. I think OBJ rises to about 50 or so.

Hilliard will drop, but it's because of how they used him in practices and the game.
None of the west offense was set up for a North/South Runner.
It was no surprise to me that Rivals dogged him for it, when they take little time to notice how he was miss used. Just further proof as lsufanva said that Rivals is going down hill.

this is obvious as nearly every one of their main guys has bolted for 24/7 sports or espn
i still like their national network though

Wow. Impressive if so.

That was one of the things that kept pissing me off again and again that game (besides Aaron Taylor's "commentating"). They kept running Hilliard on sweep plays when he is clearly not a sweep runner. But of course the people at Rivals won't care because they have no clue what they are doing over there.
While they carry more videos of players, it still isn't worth my money, even if it is relatively cheap.

24/7 is a site that makes me scratch my head. They make a couple of good hires like Barton Simmons and Jeff Howe with Shurburtt basically running it. Then they go and hire guys like Justin Wells, who besides maybe Jeffery Lee, is the BIGGEST homer I've ever seen

Did ya see this one?

All Rivals will see is that he is slow. Therefore, he must be docked in the rankings.

he is the all time leading rusher in louisiana.
that is all that needs to be said.
frick rivals and thier bullshite.

You're preaching to the choir, brother.

I think Hilliard drops because he doesnt have the wow factor that some other players have. Rivals is obsessed with freaks, guys who are tall and/or fast. If your not one of those then you will get no respect. I still think he stays in the top 100 though.
I think Odell rises to about 50 because he is already at 71 and he was getting rave reviews from nearly everyone at the army game. If he doesnt go up after that then I will be shocked.
If Jarvis Landry isnt a 5* then I will lose all respect for rivals, the little I have left.

True. Hilliard is just a guy that runs through and/or over you. He is not a Corvette or a Ferrari...more like a bus from hell.

I heard they will make him a high 4* because he doesnt have the height to be an elite WR

Hilliard is the type that will get you 120 yards, but you don't even realize it. He doesn't have any flair, but those 3-6 yard gains he gets you almost every carry will make you enjoy him

He will slowly wear a defense out by punishing them to death.
Personally, I can't wait to watch it.

Doesn't have the measurables. My guess is high 4*.

Rivals formula for rankings is to much like the NFL, size, speed, agility, etc. If you lack in one area you can be greatly penalized, where if you excel at another area above and beyond everyone else, you will get a top mark along with probably 20 other players. I wish they would ask themselves at the end of each eval," How big of an impact do we think this player will have at the next level?"

Agree. JL is the best WR in the nation. And the fact that you must be tall to be elite is absurd. Desean Jackson and Steve Smith think otherwise. The fact is he is the best in the nation at intangibles like route running, creating separation, and catching the ball with his hands.

My guess is high 4*.
He is already about as high of a 4 star as he can be.
He dominated the practies and showed out during the game. He proved hes taller and stronger than the scouts initially thought. Should be a 5*.
