Coach Blaine (Gautier) isn't "some high school coach in St. James"; he's an offensive assistant at LSU. Shows how much you know. I swear, some of you know-it-alls reach new tard levels that I never thought possible.

In addition, he was also Jr's former OC at SJH. His position at LSU is currently at-risk due to the coaching change, so yes, he's in-the-know regarding who the potential replacement may be, since he runs with other coaches in inner LSU football circles.

Oh gotcha. Some no name assistant knows what's going on one day after the firing. If he is telling kids that then he needs to be relieved immediately. That's irresponsible on his part. The offense has been shitty so your boy won't be missed.

So if you worked for a company, and your boss got fired, and your job was in jeopardy, you don't think you'd be one of the first in the know on who the replacement might be?

LOL damn, dude. I sure do wish I could live in Never-Never Land like you. Maybe I'll come visit you sometime when I can take a break from reality.

You say this:

Then follow it up with this gem.

quote:

This tells me you've never worked at a place better than McDonald's. If a CEO is fired abruptly the janitor isn't the first to know the replacement. Your boy has no clue who will or won't be LSU's coach next year.

It is odd, because Narcisse was told that Herman likely isn't coming.

So you're equating a member of the LSU coaching staff to a janitor? That's pretty sad if that's the level of guys they're hiring

I guess if your CEO got fired you'd just sit around and not inquire or ask about who the replacement may or may not be. Bottom line is, Blaine was told by multiple people on LSU's staff that Herman is waiting for the Texas job. And also he's not "my boy" -- he's from the other side of the river and I've never met him.

Anyway, I'm not going to debate with your dumb arse. Some people gotta find out the hard way I guess.

It wouldn't be a coaching search without an alter or newb rolling in and dropping scoop from a fricking GA. Gonna be a loooong 3 months. It's been one full day and idiots are already speaking in absolutes. Can't wait until we're tracking tail numbers.

Actually, if you've ever worked for any type of big company, you'd know that they keep all of this type of stuff hush-hush (especially if there's an extensive application/interview process)... specifically, to lower level employees

Not saying you're wrong or lying, because I don't know shite, I'm just saying that was a bad example to use

I work for Motiva and used to work at Mosaic and every time someone got replaced we were among the first to know... it quickly trickles down from the top

Like I said I don't even know the coach. Just stating what I was told. In my opinion though, if Strong is fired at Texas then that's where Herman will go, that's a no-brainer

To each his own... I worked with Phillips 66 and my supervisor and one of my coworkers were fired, and for two months the big talk around the plant was 'who's gonna take the job?' Besides the one or two guys that put in for the job that I knew, upper management was dead silent about the hiring process

To each his own though... and btw, frick refineries

Why is it a nobrainer that he'd go to Texas?

Texas will pay him more and most people still consider it "prestigious". I don't see Texas losing a bidding war to LSU. Hope I would be wrong though.

if the Texas job is open too, LSU has no chance to land Herman, no matter how much we try to entice him...

he's from Texas, the move from Houston is closer than to BR, family is closer, and of course the one thing LSU will NEVER be able to offer that Texas can is no state income taxes.... that's a lot more money in his pocket

If the Shell CEO in Houston is being replaced the operator in Convent certainly wouldn't have his finger on the pulse as to who the replacement will be.

This is even better. You're literally the 3rd hand information guy. You really shouldn't be throwing that guy's name out there either. I have a long time friend in the athletic department. I texted him this morning asking about what that guy does and his reply was "not much, I can tell you that." That guy doesn't know shite.

Look, I'm not saying Herman definitely ends up here or at Texas or with the fricking Bears next year. I'm just saying your reports of absolute facts is silly.

Never once did I claim to have "absolute facts" -- all I'm doing is relaying what I heard straight from Lowell Jr's mouth. He was told that by Blaine, who was told by other LSU higher-ups. Whether you want to believe it is up to you, I'm just telling you what Lowell was told. However I will say that if the Texas job becomes open and you actually think that Herman is still gonna choose LSU over Texas then you're either in denial or incredibly naive.

Fair enough. By the same token in my experience only pussies and figs come from Plaquemine.
