I get what you are saying and agree to a point. But part of the problem at QB for LSU is we constantly wind up with inexperienced QBs that got put into early and never developed. Too many classes with no QB's or QB's that flamed out. It is really inexcusable. The recent recruiting is at least trending in the right direction. 13 Jennings 14 Harris 15 McMillian (project) 16 Franks etc.
Instead of having Mett come in and kneel against OM (which he promptly bootlegged for end zone, never saw that again- EVER). How about putting him in a little early and letting him throw. frick running up scores and "good guy" perceptions.
Same thing with Jennings. Never know... with more time under his belt 2014 might have looked different.
How about not letting E Michigans and WKU's be in the game in the 4th where you can go all out and run a REGULAR offense with #2's.
I'm not saying THAT is the ONLY problem and would have kept us out of such situations. I'm saying it would have reduced the chances of finding ourselves in such a conundrum.
