Jimmy just tweeted this picture and said "All eyes on you":

I understand that for an adult if an employer catches wind of you talking shite about the company on your facebook and you get the axe, but I stopped following student athletes on twitter pretty quickly because they're just dumb and rarely say anything of substance or intelligence, especially after an emotional game, win or lose. Plus, following a teenager on twitter is just creepy.

I'm sure there are certain red flags you can pick up from twitter and facebook that can give you a decent picture of a kids character, but I guess it depends on the degree of an ill-advised post. Not every kid is going to be a Fournette or Scott Jr. as far as character.

When in doubt, don't post it at all. Best advice IMO.

It's all part of the evaluation process. More information is better. And Coach Hand is one of my favorite twitter follows. He's at Auburn now, but he's awesome.

And I think it's absolutely fair to judge them on that when the guys doing the judging place their livelihoods in these kids hands.

And this.

I know these kids live by social media, but if I'm a parent of one of these top recruits, or any recruit trying to get a scholarship, I would tell them to shut it down.

On a sidenote, I'll see on my twitter feed when Sonny or any other recruit journalist follows the "hot recruit", and I can't imagine how garbage filled their feed is if they constantly do this.

Are you saying you don't allow Twitter to be used at your house?

Stupid is as stupid does. And if a Social Media account reveals stupid, then you'd better pay attention.

Exactly. Especially for an athlete. It's an outlet for celebrity worship. No thanks.

I don't know what the situation was for each one of those situations that Jimmy posted, but I would think it would need to be egregious, not typical dumb teenage stuff.

Want golddiggers throwing themselves at your kid? How about agents? How about bad influences they don't even know? Bad influences they do know?

Does anything good come out of social media at all?

Shows poor judgement by those coaches. social media posts don't necessarily give accurate pictures. Some of those posts are just stupid posts created by kids who are bored.

I asked Jimmy about, if his feed is just a mess every day. His reply:

All day every day. I correct kids daily about their social media activity.

Guns? I teach the boys to shoot responsibly from a young age.

Alcohol? I let the kids try a little who cares, remove the label of it being so taboo and they don't crave it really. Beer is disgusting.

Tobacco? Thank God for his strength, I stopped a month ago after 20 years. I'd offer my son cigarettes... I mean his cousins or friends will one day so I'd rather him not be blindsided.

Porn? I guess we are in different households, I have to chase the girls away. They can prey on young men. Blee dat.

Junk food? Honestly with such a fast metabolism it doesn't seem to matter to them at all.

Tv? We discuss the evil hidden motivation behind commercials movies and shows.

Twitter? Facebook? Not allowed. Deal with it. (My answer to them)
