HUDL (video is about 5 minutes long)

Instant reaction: What an impressive athlete. He uses his hands well and has some skill at disengaging from blockers. He is clearly very strong as he presses the offensive linemen into the backfield almost every play. My only criticism is that he plays a bit high and tends to stand up off the snap at times. This is pretty easily correctable with coaching however. Guy has a nose for the ball and he is explosive in getting to it. I love his motor and I really like him as a prospect.

He's #7 btw.

Illegal chop block could cause an injury, but I'm sure you knew that.

At the 1:30 mark Thornton gets triple teamed, bounces off all of them, and makes the tackle

Isn't he getting moved to LB? Or at least recruited that way.

Yeah I think he will be a bit of a hybrid. He's so athletic therefore he can play OLB but can also rush off the edge with his hand in the dirt.

That's what I thought. Big boy.

Personally I think LSU can make the move to a full time 3-4 but I think our goal is a multiple defense. Cool selling point to players. Learn both

I think he will be cross trained at both Sam and Mike backer. He is one of the most underrated prospects in this class and ironically ESPN has him ranked the highest at around 70 overall.

Some of the schemes he is standing straight up off the snap as a qb spy, not trying to pass rush. I do agree though he plays a little high, pretty easy fix once he gets on a college campus.

Kendall is a big dude. I wonder what he is going to look like in 3 years. Hes either going to weigh 400+ pounds or trims down, either way that's a lot of beef.

Isn't he supposed to be a hybrid? I think he'll mostly play LB for us.

that's the best Jones has ever looked...and it's still awful. big, slow, lazy and doesn't like to hit at all.

he's measurables...not a player.
