Yeah...some dude basically said he was a thug and Neither LSU nor Alabama wanted him. Called him names and told him he didn't want his thug arse at LSU. Completely stupid. Ruffled family feathers.

Again... No one should ever believe twitter is an accurate description of how a fan base feels or even thinks of a player. Too many idiots with two many "weapons" of destruction out there
I do believe this hootie story is beyond intriguing ... I just really want to know why Alabama over lsu the first time and why decommit ?

So he goes back to a 5star after tomorrow? If he gets this bama bump I ll ban myself

Pressure from his "buddies", and smoke up his arse from Saban personally. I believe he got caught up in it....daily calls from Saban. Lot of pressure. After the announcement, I think the pressure reversed...close friends upset, etc... He was likely struggling with it all....and I suppose started thinking about the bigger picture. If JJ is right, and he may be, and LSU stopped recruiting a 4/5 star kid from Louisiana, then there needs to be a recruiting staff house cleaning of the highest order. If you think there may be other options, you don't shut such an athlete out. I really hope that didn't happen. If he chooses Ole Miss, God forbid, I believe this will be an attempt to escape the heat from the strong Bama/LSU sentiment he's having thrown at him. (Of course, that is me speculating).

Clean house because they dropped him for a higher ranked player

The hell are you smoking?
They made the kid a priority, and he ditched them. Sugar coat it all you want, thats what happened. They went all in with another very talented player, made him the priority, and he is taking that spot. Hootie had his chance, he gave it up. Thats how it goes.

With all due respect, if he indeed told the staff he was committing to LSU the night before he picked Alabama then tried to get back with LSU after decommitting from Alabama(but wouldn't call himself), I am with the coaches on this one.

What higher rated player has signed with LSU? Even if you have one with interest, you don't burn bridges and ignore an All-American. Jesus Christ man....

Adams will sign with LSU. Rated higher on composite lists.

The "All American" that didn't make All State? He isn't supposed to be held accountable for his decisions?

Seems like it was Hootie that burned bridges. There is always a line, even in the silliness of football recruiting.

He was the catalyst for the change. I could buy your argument if he never committed to Bama and LSU started favoring Adams out of the blue.

RA...a17 year old made a rash decision....so you basically tuck your tail and say screw you? Recruiting lasts well beyond a verbal commit. Nobody's in the house until that dotted line is signed. You put pride on the shelf and continue to recruit. shite, with your philosophy nobody would ever flip anybody.
As far as telling the staff he was coming...not real sure about that. If so, chalk it up to a kid in a pressure situation handling things wrong.

Hoot. Ain't. Coming.
Unless Adams says he can.

And you don't "hold" a spot at a position of need when the opportunity to for another outstanding player presents itself. If you did that then you would end up with empty spots a whole lot more often than you would filling it by flipping prospects that are already trying to enroll a month earlier than signing day.
