Question about EE and LOI

When a recruit decides to enroll early, does that forego the need of a LOI? Or do these EEs sign their LOI just as do the recruits, but in a much lower profile? It almost seems that EEs could come in to one school try it out for a semester and then leave if they dislike the school if they are not bound by any contractual agreements.

High school EEs do not sign a LOI. Juco EEs sign in December.
ETA: Once they are enrolled the same transfer restrictions apply to them as any other player.

They usually sign scholarship papers to enroll early, so yes.

Oddly enough I was just wondering this. I believe the EE is bound when he enrolls to the university, but Im not sure.

LOI = Intent to attend the school
EE = Enrolled no need to intend on going to that school because they are already there

An EE, or anyone who doesn't sign a LOI, is committed once he attends class when enrolled full-time, or if not enrolled full-time, if he plays.

I just expressed how the rule is written, so I'm not sure. This said, I wouldn't be surprised if all players aren't always enrolled full time during the season.
