QBs in 2011

I do not follow recruiting as much as some so I have some simple questions I hope you all can help with:
I understand the following:
1. We have a committment from Rivers of Alabama. He has offers from other big time schools, including SEC, but notably not Auburn and Alabama.
2. We are pursuing the JC kid, Mettenberger, along with other schools but it is thought we are in the lead.
3. We have now offered Prescott, a Miss State committment, from north La. His offers are all small schools, except us and Ms. St.
Questions:
1. Would we really take 3 qbs in one class and would three kids, with offers from other schools really come as part of a 3 QB class?
2. Why would Rivers or Prescott greyshirt with offers from SEC and other schools? Prescott has committed to Miss State, would he give up a full scholarship to pay his way to Baton Rouge, and Rivers is not from Louisiana.
3. Does the lack of any progress in the ability of JJ and JL over three years give pause, particularly the JC kid, about being coached by this staff? Not trying to knock LSU, I am a graduate.
4. Is the offering of three, this late, a sign that staff knows JL might transfer?

I doubt they would.

Probably. Being a full time starter in 2012 at LSU is probably a bigger deal though.

No. We have been after 3 and said we would take 3 for a while now.

If Kiehl Frazier reopens his recruitment LSU would be among the top choices for him along with Auburn, Arkansas and Oklahoma.

He has been reconsidering for a while.
If Gus leaves you will see him reopen.
