Honest question. Why are we not pushing to get another more highly rated QB this year? Are there simply none possible for us or do we seriously consider it a low priority this recruiting season?

Shea Patterson is 2016 QB and we need him desperately. He can actually throw the ball beyond 5 yards unlike.... u know

You can't get top 100 players at qb every year bro. We got our guy last year, we have one of our guys next year and we are hoping for another one.

Well. Um. I think even the most optimistic person on this board would admit that it's possible those two aren't going to get it done.

Not everyone throws in the white towel on a Freshman QB based on one start

Understood.

But, even assuming he wins the job next year and is good, that means we still have AJ as backup and let's be honest, nothing after that. I would think we'd want some insurance sooner.

Have you seen the list for 2016 kids in Louisiana? If we say this everytime, then we need a new name for 2016.

He was talking about the QBs, and he is damn right. There are at least 3-4 quality QBs in Louisiana alone next year plus we already have the #1 dual threat in Feliepe Franks.

No, sorry you are not being realistic about the situation. Sick of your whining about the QB.

Until something changes dual threat means hand off and pitch out. Should go for Jake Hubenak in Texas....

We have JMac coming in too. Is everyone forgetting him? Not too shabby.

So we should take our lumps next year again and rely on a true freshman for 2016? I agree that the staff is doing this as well, but I don't agree with that philosophy. They must be pretty confident that 1 of those guys we saw this year will be very good. A lot can change in a year, so let's hope so.

Harris will (hopefully) be ready to take over next season. Beyond that, we have a 5* dual-threat QB committed for 2016 in Felipe Franks, and we stand a good chance of landing a 5* pocket passer in the same class in Shea Patterson.

Optimistically, we could (should?) be set up for some time at QB.
