I cannot, for the life of me and aside from the location, understand the attraction to Miami.

How many years has it been since they have had a sniff of a championship?

It's not easy to get into U-High. I would assume the powers that be that helped get TW in expect him to go to LSU. U-High may be looking for a new Coach if Williams leaves town???

AL Golden and the coaching staff

He has said in other articles that he likes Golden.

Sometimes kids just want to get away from home. It's one of the reasons we snagged Sonic Sam instead of SC. He wanted to go somewhere out of state.

While I want Williams to be at LSU because I think he will be a stud under Chavis, if he doesn't want to be a Tiger, he shouldn't come to LSU. He should go where he wants to be. If Miami sold him and he is fine with all the things that come with playing for Miami (NCAA sanctions, weak fanbase, etc.) then talking shite about the school isn't going to change his mind.

Williams doesn't seem like the type to play the recruiting game, IMO. He's stayed pretty consistent throughout his recruiting. I think we do have a lot of ground to cover on him. At this point though, how much can we possibly do? If he's not sold here yet, I'm not sure what else we can do to convince him. Best case scenario - he goes to Miami's campus and feels their atmosphere is a negative compared to LSU.

Just because he makes most LSU games doesn't mean he's sold here. If this was true, Landon Collins wouldn't be in Bama right now.

your attitude is certainly in the minority. in other words, the kid should make the decision to go where he feels is the best for him. damn, you must be a parent or something.

Maybe he's of the mindset that he wants to be part of the revival of Miami. Not everyone wants to ride the wave of success. Some want to say that they started that wave.

Either that or he just wants to get out of the state.

After reading that, not having any night games last year, especially with the season we had, was defintely a missed opprotunity to impress some recruits.

30k at a Miami game . What ya talking about Willis? They are lucky to get 15k. There are games when they would not be in top ten in attendance among high schools in Louisiana

Guess he really like the sun and sand, but anyway it's his call. good luck to him where ever goes, he seems to be a good kid, with exceptional talent.

he's got a daddy bird churping in his ears " go there you will make them better" "go there you will stand out more"

I cannot imagine the pressure these D1 recruits have to deal with at home.

I would agree that the people who got him into uhigh would want him to go to LSU. but, he is a sr. now and the powers that be have no leverage on him. he can do whatever he want and not have to worry about them since he doesn't need anymore favors. still think he ends up at LSU.
