LSU has jumped into the top teams on my list. LSU is a school I was really hoping to hear from. I heard about Ron Cooper leaving but that won't change anything

really! with over 20 offers from usc, ok, nd, ohio st. yea, he's really high on us. must be high on at least 5-10 schools. don't see this staff winning a recruiting battle against major league competition.

How about lets not even try recruiting then? Just take 25 kids not being recruited by other major colleges and fade into obscurity. That work for you?

Incredible. Especially when you consider LSU is major league competition for any other school in the country.

we are major competition, no question. this kid is at least a top 100 guy and maybe a lot higher. we haven't done well in the last 3 years with these caliber oos guys (unless they had some connection to la.). not saying we won't get him but can't get excited about being "high" on his list.

some of us homers need to enter the real world of LSU recruiting in the last 3 years. not really pretty. a loaded state at the top in 2011 saved us from being headed south.

Shep, Loston, PP7, Montgomery,Kwon Alexander, Corey Thompson

Just a few that came to mind with no previous ties to LSU or this state

PP7 and Sam are the amazing pulls out of those you listed imo. We get Texas guys every year it seems. But this is an AZ guy we're talking about...not saying we don't get him, but the odds are definitely against us. But hopefully we can because this guy is a stud.

because that's not what he said in his first post, he didn't say anything about OOS recruits. And given the amount of ridiculous negativity lately (see various Crutchfield/Fournette threads), it sound like more of the same

He contacted LSU and has said its his dream school or soemthing like that. its pretty far, maybe him or his family decides he wants to stay close. But look at his other comment, he says only a loaded year in La saved us, but when we go out after national recruits we won't get them. Of course we won't get all especially from different regions like Az, but given the fact we've got guys like Montgomery and Ware recently, I don't see a reason to say no way we will get him.

AZ is a tough pull. Part of me thinks kids watch the NFL, esp the Cardinals in AZ. He saw what PP#7 did and said hey i wanna go there. PP#7 helping out after he leaves IMHO.

No doubt, a long shot, but he did contact LSU, so he has interest
