When Faulk can’t get his relative to come to LSU. Legacy, NC, can start from day one. I don’t get it

until he signs it’s not over. There is a lot of time before signing day. Defense will either look better or bo will be gone. a new DC could impact his recruitment.

There is no way there is a new DC in time to impact his recruitment. I'd be shocked if they are even willing to take the financial blow for a new DC.

yeah unfortunately there's no way we're paying a $6M buy out for Pelini without a full 'normal' offseason to implement his defense.

If true why blame Faulk? Isn't Ed O still the HC? Isn't Bo Pellini the DC? If the kid does not want to to be here it is because of those 2. If LSU didn't trot out that shite defense every week kids might have faith in Orgeron/Pellini.

Actually a great point. Kevin is his cousin but Trev is his uncle.

Pretty SAD

The melting on this board over something that hasn't even happened yet is unreal.

It's pretty clear it's happening man. He commits in 3 days and everyone is changing their picks to Bama.

Once he commits to Bama the backlash will only solidify his decision.

Regardless, at least one big name recruit (sometimes multiple) leaves Louisiana for another big time out of state program every year. In the latter portion of the Miles era, LSU lost more battles to other schools (particularly Bama) than they won. That trend has begun to reverse. Why? Because LSU is coming off two seasons capped by a Fiesta Bowl win and an undefeated national title season. This season is weird, but LSU will be fine.

For reference, over the past seven years here are some notable Top 5/Top 10 players who did not come to LSU:
2020:
- Sedrick Van Pran - UGA

2019:
- Ishmael Sopsher - Bama
- Christian Harris - Bama

2018:
- Justin Rogers - TCU

2017:
- DeVonta Smith - Bama
- Phidarian Mathis - Bama
- Chris Allen - Bama
- Dylan Moses - Bama
- Travis Etienne - Clemson

2016:
- Shyheim Carter - Bama

2015:
- Daylon Charlot - Bama
- Jerry Tillery - Notre Dame

2014:
- Cam Robinson - Bama
- Speedy Noil - TAMU
- Gerald Willis - Florida
- Hootie Jones - Bama

Sometimes those players become great, sometimes they end up like Sopsher and transfer in less than two seasons. LSU's problem this season isn't talent, it's youth and inexperience. The Tigers are figuring things out and are poised to be one of the most dangerous teams to play in the second half of the season.

bama dynasty and playing for saban > anything lsu can offer

I hate to say it but this is what it is. no other explanation for it. LSU staff was outworked by bama for a kid that was theirs to lose

None of this matters. Maybe he wants to carve his own path. Maybe he wants out of LA. You guys all look at recruiting thru your own eyes, as a fan. It's a lot different as a player.
