Possible QB transfer vs. JUCO

A lot of smoke coming that UAB will shut down the program. Would we wanna go after someone like Cody Clements? How would the transfer work if a program shuts down? What are the limitations, etc?

It was pretty clear in the thread. QB. UAB. Therefore, he currently plays QB at UAB. 66.2% completions. 2227 yds, 14 passing TD's.

If a program shuts down all players are allowed to be immediately eligible anywhere I imagine. Penn state players were allowed immediate playing to transfer just for PSU sanctions

Wasn't trying to be ridiculous, was asking a legit question. If we were going to take a hard look at a head case with a bad attitude, like Kelly, why not look at all possibilities. Also, I'm having a hard time considering a purchase in Brandon Harris "futures".

if we REALLY have to resort to poaching the QB from fricking UAB, we are more fricked than we know.... straight up....
i fully expect Harris to beat out Jennings in the spring, Jennings becomes back up, then converts to RB in 2016 once Patterson and/or Franks gets to campus...

You do realize there were like 100 better q be than Jennings this year. It's not all him, but to decline and obviously better person (BH or a transfer) is dumb.

Yet you believe a guy from UAB could beat out Harris who, one will know the system, and two, is supremely talented? Rivers Rettig and Bolden left because they couldn't beat out Jennings, yet some guy straight from UAB is going to do it? Give me a break.
Listen, Harris starts next year and whoever they get this year, whether it be transfer or JUCO, is for depth purposes. Yeah they will compete for the starting job, but I'd bank on Harris winning out.
