With the amount of talent in the 2019 class we are up for at running back?
Discuss.

We need them. The only running backs we'll have on roster next year is
Nick Brossette
Lanard Fournette
Clyde Edwards-Helaire
And whoever else we get in this class

Negative ... you are basically taking warm bodies till the 2019 kids arrive and pass them up as freshman. Not very enticing if you are a stud in 2019 to see LSU loading up with numbers. Davis, Emery, Cain, and so on will be thinking log jam now.

They really are all 3 very different backs, and we probably need them, but overall I think its a negative for next year. Carter is your slasher, Curry is your short yardage back, and Provens probably fits Canada's scheme best as a scat back, slot, motion back.
That said, do we scare off Cain(who may have been the long shot anyway), and/or Emory especially with Tyrion already on board. Good questions that wont have sufficient answers for a few years.

We have to have RBs in this class. We only got 1 in 2017 and we're losing at least 2 guys after this year. You cant just waltz into a season with only 3 or 4 RBs. No guarantee Brosette will be back either.

After next season you are talking about the 2019 class which is way stronger than this class at least at the running back position.
Imo
We will see.
We need offensive tackle and wr and are running out of slots.
Go Tiger's

Don't mind the amount of RB's so for but the have only had 2 Darrel Williams type backs and the other guy is not an every down type back.
Hope Joiner works out be he has made unofficial to Bama recently

Last month this board was complaining because we didn't have any RB prospects. Now the board is complaining because we have too many

Loading up on a bunch of three star running backs this class is not what the majority here had in mind.

All be laughing when everyone of these guys lights it up! All solid backs and huh.. thought we just hired a RB coach who's favorite thing is to play all of his backs. Let's give him 5-6 good weapons to use..... wtf are you complaining about!! We will still get a super star or two in next years class.

Boo hoo hoo. That's the best available to LSU this cycle. Not taking RBs this cycle because they aren't 4 stars or better would be foolish.

I think this is mostly residual bitterness because they didn't agree with the coaching hire and they're using any and every opportunity to keep their "O sucks" narrative rolling, even if it means jumping to premature conclusions about just about every aspect of his stint.

Easy killer I'm not complaining just opening this up to open discussion. So far the majority isn't agreeing with your perspective

I would have taken curry for sure he will be a 4* back with more camps. But other than him go after two of the top 3 backs in the country! I really like noah cain in our offense the kid will be a game breaker!

Being angry by these commits and the kids we're landing is just idiotic. Not much better out there plus all are solid prospects. I love what the staff is doing and just gave my opinion.

What are you talking about Tony St. Julian is the top back in the state. Why not him

The way these guys decommit, hurt a knee, and transfer you can never have too many.
Posted on 6/26/17 at 6:02 pm to Blanky6715
So, you want to go into the 2018 season with three scholarship running backs?

What about anything I have posted is giving you the impression that I am angry?
