Seriously? We are talking about a kid still in HS.. And because he didn't go to LSU you are going to say shite like this? Look, I am as big of a LSU fan as there is, but I would never get upset because someone decided to go play football at another school.

They owe nothing to no one and should be able to go where ever they feel is best for them.

People think it's pessimistic when people see a trend and are skeptical. Many of us called this. Called it with Moses. Called it with hootie. Called it with Robinson. It's not to be negative but we should know by now that this is how Sagan recruits. Bear did similar stuff. For these coaches, Recruiting isn't only about getting the best players you can get, it's about eliminating the competition as well.

You think he's worried? They've owned us for 6 straight years. Winners gravitate to winners, and we just haven't been that lately. Once we get back on track, and I believe that Brennan and Narcisse tagged with Canada is the right step and make our brand relevant again, we will see a shift in the recruiting world, but until then, we ARE second fiddle to bama and will be until we do something about it. Whining and complaining does nothing for it.

Downvote away, but this is the truth.

No downvotes from me.. I agree with most of what you said.. however, LSU, as a brand isn't as bad off as tigerdroppings wants you to believe

Yep...

it was easy for those tough guys though. Picking between Delgado and ITT Tech was a no-brainer

What I'm getting at, as fanatics, we of course project ourselves as one of the top teams in the nation, but we haven't been that lately and it has affected some (obviously not all,due to our yearly recruiting rankings) recruits' view on us. They see bama constantly beating us, hell its been directly stated, and it does affect their perception of us. I think our brand is strong, especially at a couple of position including RB, DB and Dline. Just need more consistency at key positions like QB and OT.

I hope Moses and Allen both get processed by Saban or they both don't play till the fifth year seniors

It is amazing how these young recruits can play coaches, and the people who follow them while being recruited. Even more amazing is the fact that a good percentage seem to not have grown up to want to be a star player playing for their home state.
Landon Collins
Hootie Jones
Cam Robinson
Tim Williams
And the list goes on and on, but until we can beat Alabama and win another NC, it's going to be extremely hard to sway a lot of the elite Louisiana players and other players in other states to want to play here.
Chris Allen made the comment that Jeremy Pruitt was able to coach him better, and you can read into that many ways, but to as much slight Dave Aranda and the rest of this coaching staff as he did was what you can expect from these primadonna recruits.
We need them, but I sure don't want anybody who does not have any loyalty toward LSU.

Again, I agree with what you're trying to say, but this

quote:

I think our brand is strong

kinda contradicts what you said when you said:
quote:

make our brand relevant again

But I'm just nitpicking, like I said, I agree with what you're getting at but I still think our 'brand' is very much still relevant

I think "strong" and "relevant" need to be switched around. As in, our brand is relevant(DBU, LF, Guice assure that), but it needs to be strengthened back to what it was 8-10 years ago.

The highly ranked recruits from LSU backyards are lucky to get a B grade min integrity from Tiger fans if they go to a school out of conference - when they go to a rival such as Saban/Bama, the highest grade for integrity and good wishes drops to a B- to C at best because it supports a program that is a huge impediment to LSU winning SEC and NC's.

I personally don't get too caught up in what any of these 18 yr olds do because 1/2 of them peaked early in HS and don't develop the way some 3-low 4 stars develop - plus they carry the prima Donna attitude unless they have some integrity.

As for Allen, I personally graded his integrity level at the B- level until he pulled his tweet pic and Sweet Home comment - several people here scoffed at me for suggesting it was a troll - not only was it a troll. It likely a secret message to his Bama recruiters and followers. For that, I drop him to a D grade, only because I will give him the benefit of the doubt that coach O pressed him to at least take the visit. That's the risk coaches take and it could backfire in our other target efforts. Such is life - not rooting for Allen to have great success though because he IS joining a direct competitor. Hope he has a decent injury-free career though - but he is definitely Tiger Bait.
