Per Monroe 97.7--Tigers' Chances with Randle Take a Hit

I'm editing the original post because Randle's father called in to clarify things. In summary, the show opened with an NBC reporter saying that he spoke with Randle's dad and that if Benton signed with the Tigers, Reuben would not citing depth issues.
Randle's dad then comes on and states that apparently the coaches told his son different information than they told Benton about who each of them would be competing with. Randle's dad sounded annoyed at the LSU coaches. He did say that LSU was still in the mix.
This clearly is bad news but we do not know how bad. It could be a miscommunication for all we know. Hopefully RR signs tomorrow with LSU.

You have got to be kidding me. I can't see for the life of me why the #1 receiver in the nation after being recruited for 2+ years is going to base his decision on going against Benton's signature. I don't believe this.
ETA: Also, didn't he say he wanted to play with a great wideout. So Lafell graduates next year and then Toliver/Randle/Benton. Then Toliver graduates the year after so Randle/Benton for 2 years (depending on going pro possibility). Don't believe it.

Dude, don't even post this B.S. I know you got it from the radio, but if Billy Bob thinks that he knows RR's dad and says that he wont go to LSU cause of Benton, that is stupid. Just plain rumors. If it were true. LSU would tell Benton to go else where.

FWIW, dmitch did tell fox4 that Randle's father would be glad to interview w/ him..this in a thread on friday
