IF LSU no longer wants Hootie then they certainly feel like it isn't a loss.
I was thinking that before Hootie committed to the diatoms just on the numbers of it all. Without Hootie (no disrespect to him and his abilities) this class to me is full at the safety position... assuming we have the silent!
Better to line up another lineman with that spot.

Hootie and his situation gave us the leverage to lock Adams up. That's how I see it.

I still like Hootie but Voorhies, Battle (most underrated get in this class), Paris and Jamal. We're good at safety boys. Unfortunately for Hootie if he commits to us and he was in and Adams to Florida. Crazy how things work out.

it's the idea that its the smart thing to do, we went after hootie, he chose bama, so we amped up our pressure on jamal. Stay the course with jamal, it gives us a higher chance of landing a quality player. hootie had his chance, if he wants to come fine, but there's no point in using extra resources to pick him up too..
We as fans second guess the staff but they have way more pieces to the puzzle to look at..

Paris is being recruited as a CB. It has been verified by him and Miles. He is being promised a chance to compete as a CB. He is also a finalist fo best HS CB.
That being said, I think Voories is the real deal. If we get Adams, we are good.

Agreed! That is like me telling my surgeon which procedure he/she should use on me. I absolutely HATE when a non-professional begins to tell me how to go about my job. I do believe we have about the best assistant coaching staff in all of CFB. Gotta have a little faith.

So, was Hootie asked to decommit by Alabama? Why such a huge drop in the rankings. Something is amiss here. We go from missing a huge 5 star recruit, to not wanting a 4 star. Truth is, Hootie could very possibly end up as a linebacker before his college career is over. But why decommit if you aren't guaranteed a spot on the other team that you liked the most? We should all be patient and see what comes out of this situation.
