Wrong. Herman

WRONG, WRONG, WRONG. Even if UH comes back to beat UCF today, mentioning Herman's name in the same sentence with LSU is an insult to our football team and Athletic Department.

O is the man. Let's see how we do through the rest of the schedule and who he lands.

I don't know where Jimmy got that from. I highly doubt Wilson stats in state. It's gonna be us, Bama, FSU, or OU.

Not sure either, he was heavily trending LSU but something changed.

Shelvin alluded to that he was not coming to LSU.

When did he say that and what exactly was said?

Wilson trending toward Texas?

Marvin Wilson was a no-show at LSU this summer for either prospect camp. That trend has continued into the fall.

Wilson, the nation’s top-ranked defensive tackle in 2017, is expected to officially visit LSU — or at least, is likely to.

Over the past few months, the Tigers have been on a downward trend with the 5-star Texan. Wilson is close friends with Shelvin, who has tried to recruit Wilson to team up at LSU but gets the feeling another team is in the lead.

“I think that happened,” Shelvin said, referring to Texas’ push for Wilson.

“It doesn’t matter to me. That’s my brother. When we go to camps and stuff, I couldn’t ask for a better brother like him to be with me at all those camps.”

Wilson and Shelvin communicate frequently — largely via Snapchat — and have been in touch lately as Wilson deals with a knee injury and his friend, Shelvin, recovers from a sprained ankle.

Wilson remains a top target for LSU. Orgeron has spearheaded his recruitment, but has been unable to lure the 5-star defensive lineman to Baton Rouge since the spring.

Then, Wilson dined with Orgeron and Les Miles atop Tiger Stadium. The last time the coaches saw Wilson was in June when LSU hosted a satellite camp at Wilson’s high school.

Since then, the 5-star has visited Oklahoma, Texas and Texas A&M, and has Ohio State penciled in for an official visit next month. LSU remains in contention for both an official and/or unofficial visit, but the Tigers have a lot of ground to make up with the nation’s No. 3 overall recruit.

LSU held a summer camp at his HS. He did not have to come to BR. We went to him!

Yes, I think everyone knows that.

You want these recruits on campus and LSU has been trying to get him here for a while now.

This doesn't say anything about him not wanting to be at LSU in fact it says to me that he's still very much undecided and if O stays on him and our defense/team improves I like our chances. Get him here and have a nice sit down with Mr. Jenkins, Ed, and Aranda, let him know just where this D is headed and his importance/roll on that D and that's all you can do. LSU has a great shot IMO.

I read it differently... To each his own.

Our best chance to get Chaisson, Wilson, Smith and flip Moses is to keep this staff together.
The next best case for the above scenario is to hire Fisher.

100% true yet they downvote you. Gotta love our fans. I also believe we can land Akers if we keep O or get Fisher

Man y'all need to get Jimbo Fisher out of your damn heads, I really don't understand the fascination with running behind him. You just read this article basically stating that the mother of Wilson is a huge fan of CEO. The best case scenario period is for coach O to keep winning and to win out the job out right. I don't care what any of y'all say, he is the right guy for the job. The right temperament and all.

My fear is that TH is as good as people think. We have him for two years and then basically rapes the university of assistant coaches when he leaves. I just don't think if he comes to LSU and has success that he would stick around.

At least with CEO and Fisher they would be ours for as long as we wanted them.

The NFL or any of the other major players in the college game with lots of $$$$$. It would be a constant battle if he is indeed that good. Ego!!!

Well LSU is top destination job

NFL is always a possibility but not necessarily a desire

I want TH, Jimbo, top 2 and if O does win out possibly a slight distant 3rd.

I worry about a DL
coach constantly having to have the right coordinators on both sides of the ball to really compete. Motivation and love only goes so far.

Shouldn't be too worried though because I believe even an avg coach can maintain an established LSU program. .Miles showed it and now the interim. Still think an above avg x and o guy can take LSU to a more consistent elite level.
