Lots will melt today because we are not going to finish with a top 10 class. I point out two things, #1 we are doing much much better than Florida and usc who are in similar situations, and #2 our average player rating is quite good, which don't have as many commits as some of the guys ahead of us.

Now to the subject at hand, o didn't recruit at as high of a level as it may have seemed. Yeah he signed three straight top 5 classes, but his 17 class was legit awful, Marshall and chase and a bunch of busts or transfers. From there on out it seems like every class was full of transfers or busts. I think 2021 may have been his best class, but it had a disturbing lack of O lineman. So my point is if kelly lands a top 15 class, but has many contributors, is that objectively worse than a top 5 class that fizzled out? We will revisit this class in a few years and I think we will say it contained many great players

Right. The LSU players in the NFL are just there by mistake.

That 17' class makes me laugh at loud.

Can we do a full count of how many O recruits lasted all 4 years or went pro in 3. I bet it's 50% of his total classes. Everyone else left.

He brought in great recruits. He just had no idea what to do with them after they got to campus

His recruiting was great, picking which players to pursue was flawed and development was nonexistent after Aranda left

Okay this is bullshite. You can criticize him based off the attrition and retention problems but, he was a solid recruiter

I know what you're doing and while I get it, it's really important that we calm down. This year was always going to be a toss up. Coaching changes and specifically one that has a bunch of uncertainty, etc. was expected.

LSU will be fine. No need to try and blame O for what is happening now.

O was a disaster. He's gone. Let's move forward and assess next year as an actual state of recruiting here.

Again, LSU will be fine.

O could recruit but his coaching hires and management of a program were not good. Its no coincidence everything fell off after Aranda left.

This isn’t the board you have to write stuff like that on. Most on here daily understand that it’s not gonna be a top ten class in transition. And o did recruit well enough to put together the best roster imo in college football history. There’s plenty to say about o but recruiting isn’t one of them

Is that a mix of Oregon and Orgeron?

look back at Les Miles' classes alot of players didn't do much of anything. It happens with every class

Players going pro in 3 years isnt a bad thing. It means they balled out at LSU.

O was clueless on just about everything. But knocking him on recruiting is ridiculous. Just listen to some of the recruits who pulled out. They said it was because of O. Does LSU help recruit itself? Absolutely. But O was a great recruiter.

its obvious none of you understood the post. Ratings dont mean chit. Miles had several of those and if you went back and re-evaluated the class after 3 years it was not good. Players leaving. busts etc

O was Saban’s bitch. If Saban really wanted a Louisiana kid, he got him.

I hope Kelly can correct this.

He signed a bunch of great players, but he couldn't keep or develop them.
