Hate to be last to know on this issue, but I knew about the sexual battery issue which on the surface sounds really bad. However, I didn't know know that it was for grabbing tits and arse in a bar. Isn't that something you get slapped for? instead the kid is now a criminal. I hope He signs with us. Saban wants him pretty bad as well.

Apparently the girl's dad was a booster for UGA...and that's why he was kicked off. That's just what I've heard.

Mett lied to Richt about the incident, and was repeatedly told to stay away from the area he was arrested in, but of course failed to do so

I live in the town where the whole incident happened. From what I have heard, there is more to the story than what is usually mentioned.
What Mett did was stupid and he deserves all the blame he has received. But his conduct did not get him booted out. Him lying about that to Mark Richt did. His mom works for Richt. So Richt had no room to show him any leniency, as that could have been misinterpreted.

I can't imagine the horror of not being able to go to Valdosta for a whole year. I'm sure he was waiting at the city limits.
