In this situation you can't let a recruit tell you how to run your program. I'd have told him we need a leader at QB and not someone that's scared to compete then kept after Patterson. Look for another QB to recruit along side Patterson that's not scared to prove he deserves it. I can't believe they put everything into one guy who was acting like that.

And who's to blame for not doing this?

This is all so funny how quick people change on you lol. I could be mistaken but Franks was offered first, committed to us first then we went after Patterson to make it a 2 QB Class, but Patterson didn't want to compete in a 2 QB class so he went to ole miss with his brother.im a diehard LSU fan just like everyone on here. So I understand everyone being upset but don't change story on the kid just cause he decommited from us. And also see it from his view our offense looks inept and 2 coaches that recruit you (Cameron and peveto) are most likely out so why would u stay committed?

It's too bad that Franks will never see the field at Florida. Haha!

I believe Patterson was first to be recruited/offered, but while bigbroP was at ASU (and lilbroP was committed to them) Cam evaluated Franks and an offer extended. What I can't remember at all is when Franks committed in relation to bigbroP leaving ASU and hiring on at LSU.

lilbroP going to OM had nothing to do with Franks. And I don't think Franks had anything to do with him. lilbroP never committed to us (and I'm remembering him being offered first).

What I do remember is Cam seeing a project in Franks while lilbroP was considered pretty much ready to go (at Calvary ). Cam offered Franks anyway and had been working with him for over year while bigbroP came, went, and lilbroP never came, went to OM (and IMG).

So looking at that, Franks was the only committed QB and got the lions share of Cams attention and work. The Patterson's were always a fleeting hope, and by definition a Plan B.

I thought big bro Patterson came in before Franks committed. But after 2 years had to sign as coach to stay on staff. We couldn't make that commitment and Ole Miss did. franks committed first so u have to work the bird in the hand. Jmo
