basically first part says you can only take 25 LOI's per year, second states that you can retro an LOI for an early enrollee to the current year provided you were under 25 LOI's. So, if I"ve got this right we could take 27 next feb as long as at least are 2 early enrolls.

So I may have gotten my years confused but my initial point of this guy taking a spot from a 2013 early enrollee was correct. W/ the way this class is shaping up, I wouldn't waste a spot on this kid b/c I don't think he'll ever contribute. If he does transfer to lsu, he won't be here until 2 wks b4 the season starts. No way he'd be a better option to backup Mett if he goes than the guys we have on the roster now.

Derek Ponamsky on 104.5 just said again just now, He DOES NOT take a spot from the 2013 recruiting class. They will know in advance how many EE they are expecting and will adjust accordingly.

they will adjust by back counting one less ee. therefore having 1 less spot in the 2013 class. explain to me how else it could work. unless they dont have enough ee's to fill the spots f/ 2012

still don't get why we would take him as a placeholder on the team. I just don't see the need. My big concern is still that one of the 13 QBs gets a little worried about the comp, especially Anthony

Maybe because we lost Liggins to grades. Do you think both of the QB recruits from this year are scared of a guy who will be a senior when they get here? They weren't worried about 2 RSF and a true freshman when they committed.

true, basically there would have been 2 ee's that could back count, with Bolden 1. Can still sign 25 for 2013, although a boat-load of attrition will need to occur. IMO, it's worth the risk. This season was the one everyone pointed to all along as the best potential BCS run, if depth at QB is a concern, you have to address that if you can.
