I'm a fan of drafting players in specific offenses. Mike Leach WRs & QBs, LSU RBs & defensive players, Brian Kelly QBs and in the past, Oregon QBs & RBs.
What are the thoughts on Oregon players in the future? Will that offense and team take a step back?

Surprised he's still here: Garrett Sickels, DE/OLB, Penn State.
He's fast, pretty strong, and looks a hair undersized in his video. With the success PSU traditionally has in crafting linebackers, I think he could transition well to that position - or stay at DE, where he has a gift getting after the ball carrier.
As a junior, made 76 tackles, including 10 sacks, 9 tackles for loss, forced three fumbles, recovered three fumbles and blocked a punt that he recovered and scored. For some reason I can't find a listing of his senior stats - though in one game he had eight tackles, four sacks, several TFL, and an interception return. So there's that. Second straight year I take a PSU DE, and I'm continuing my habit of taking as many all-star participants as I can stand. I'm not kidding when I say I'm shocked he's still here - my only guess is that you guys were scared off by the sanctions, or just overlooked him. Definitely a top 150 talent. It was also time to diversify my talent away from the SEC the last couple rounds.

I scrapped my original pick because I just found this kid and looked at his situation. Most freshman at Michigan State redshirt (I think 3 in total have played in the last two years combined). With Reschke however, all indications are that he will be the eventual backup to Max Bullough, a guy who I am still kicking myself over not drafting him in our first draft. If this is the case, then he will need to see the field this year in backup roles and special teams work. Dantoni and Tressel have stated as much that he will be given the chance to do so, which is all I can ask for in drafting someone.
Now I sit and wait to see if my original player gets taken.

I drafted Bullough, and then traded him in the Enfuego rounds for Jeff Luc. What a f-ing mistake!

I know. That is what kills me the most is that he isn't even on a roster. The reason I passed on him was because I just so happen to look at the next years class and saw Mich St had a commitment from the #1, at the time (eventually #5), ILB Lawerence Thomas. Of course, I passed and Thomas promptly gets moved to DE and the rest is history.

I'm curious to see as well. Helfrich was a rising star, even before Oregon. Working under Kelly I can only imagine he learned a thing or two.
Will he be a good HC? Remains to be seen. Plenty of brilliant coordinators struggles at HC.

This is when the draft gets interesting for me. Sleeper picks start coming up. My five favorite picks of the draft have come over the last few rounds:
Randy Gregory, DE - I was just talking to jembeurt about this guy. He's an absolute monster and I think will be an all-B1G guy nearly from day 1.
Marquel Combs, DT - I already wrote about this guy. been targeting him all draft.
Tanner Mcevoy - just posting his position summary from 247 will be enough - "Dual-Threat Quarterback, Athlete, Safety." Holy versatility, Batman!
Scott Pagano, DT - We all know about this guy.
Dontre Wilson, RB/ATH - Meyer's only pure RB in the class, and one of the fastest players he got. From Meyer's first real recruiting class, too, and we all know the quality of coach he is. I'm also not that high on some of the other skill position players in this tOSU class, and I think Wilson will turn out the best of all of them.
ETA: I'm basing this a lot on how late these guys got drafted. The first and second round guys will probably have better careers, but all these guys are 3-4 round talent, so their value this late is extremely high!

I select Tyree Robinson ATH 6'4 195 Oregon. This guy could play DB or WR, but he will most likely be a safety. I am drafting him as my free safety. He is crazy athletic. He and his twin brother might be guards for the Oregon basketball team as well. His brother is the bigger hitter for sure, but I think Tyree has higher upside because of his length and his size in the secondary.
Watching his highlights, he definitely doesn't look like a cover corner, but once the ball is in the air, he just knows how to get to it. Robinson also showed pretty good form when tackling, which is good because he isn't a huge hitter. Hopefully that will come as he gets bigger and stronger, which he has plenty of room to do so.
This guys highlights are everywhere on youtube. Football and basketball. He has some sweet jams.

Dro, I really think you did a great job with your WR's, especially considering they were 4th and 7th round guys. Also, Ishmael Wilson could end up being a nice get. I though about selecting him as a guard.
