LSU is going to be set at QB the next 4-5 years. Say what you want but LSU will have a shot with Arch, especially with their offensive success. A lot of touts are saying Walker will potentially be a 5-star prospect after this year.

Good things ahead, Tigers!!!

Yes and don’t forget about Max Johnson. The word is the coaching staff says he is special!

We are supposedly close to offering 2021 QB Clay Millen from Washington. We would reportedly be the favorites for him if/when we make the offer. 247 has him ranked higher than Nuss, great film and could be a gem.

Max is #2 on the depth chart right now according to the actual coaches at LSU..... I constantly get downvoted from the TJ fan Club for repeating this..... but he’s way more advanced in the system.....having an NFL QB as a dad obviously helped this process...

We are using the Georgia blueprint. Sign them all, let it sort out, and expect transfers.

Not a bad strategy. Hopefully the staff chooses wisely in the long run.

In the meantime, the more quarterbacks you have, the better. More depth and a better chance that one will pan out.

Ed O and the Manning's have always had a good relationship since Ed O's days at Ole Miss. Not to mention, that Arch's dad has said they are going to let him make his own decision. Just like their parents allowed them to do when they were choosing their schools to commit to.

Furthermore, times have changed. If Arch commits to LSU he can come in and make a name for himself. That won't happen if he commits to Ole Miss or Tennessee, and I don't see Arch committing to play for David Cutcliffe at mediocre football program Duke. For one thing, David Cutcliffe would be 68 years old by the time Arch arrived on campus and Duke is also in the weak ACC, as opposed to the SEC. Good luck with that.

Moreover, according to Randy Livingston who coaches basketball at Isidore Newman, he says, Arch is always in LSU gear.

Hence, I believe that if LSU can keep the offensive production up at a high level for the next couple of seasons, that Ed O and LSU will have an excellent chance at getting Arch to commit to LSU, in my opinion.

Not to mention, that Baton Rouge is close to home and close enough for the Manning's to drive to LSU during week days to watch the team practice.

I think you almost have too. In this age of college football, many QBs are going to transfer instead of waiting. Sign at least one every year (some years two) and accept that some will leave.

I listened to that pod cast clip. Wasn’t sure if he was saying randy was always in LSU gear around the family or that Arch wore LSU gear. The way it was worded sounded funny to me. I think he meant that randy wore LSU gear and was around the family.

No Arch wears LSU gear a lot.

TJ has a lot of tools to work with, but he is very raw and needs a lot of work.

If he sticks around he may start his senior year. Wouldn’t mind him moving positions also Dude is huge. Could play TE or Edge rusher realistically. Some packages with him at TE ending up throwing a deep ball would be fun to see.

It’s going to be nice having good options at QB

Hope we get his brother also.

20'/21'
Brennan

22'/23'
Johnson

24'
Nuss(Starts his Sr year)

25'
Howard(Starts his Sr year)

26'
Manning(Starts his Sr year)

I just wanted to put it on paper. I don't see how it possible for Nuss, Howard and Manning to only start their senior years here. Something would have to give.

I don't see any of them redshirting.

Some will transfer as it sorts itself out. That’s just the nature of the beast right now at QB.

Yeah, like Fromm and Fields; however, transfer rules are changing so it seems more likely you can get a couple big name kids to come in and compete and whoever doesn't win the job transfers.

Exactly. Especially kids that come in from back to back classes.

If one guy looks to be a 2-3 year starter, no one is sticking around to back him up more than likely.
