the only thing that bothers me is that he said he decided two years ago. per ESPN

If this is true, he wasted a lot of our time and effort recruiting wise.

ETA Though he did say he had to make sure.

They would have still recruited him just as hard for the past two years anyways, even if he did commit to bama so early on.

See I started off not very upset. I can't hate on him for following the love of his life. The more that comes out the more aggravated I get.

I think he's just saying that instead of looking foolish by saying the real reason which is his gf.

I think that if he would've committed that early in the process (since he said his decision was made) then LSU would've backed off a little at some point.

Probably wouldn't have made all that much of a difference I guess.

I'm the other way around. If he had feel in love with bama 2 years ago which I feel in my heart he did then i am okay with. But to choose bama over some trim is flat out horribly bad reaction even if it's live of life. She will be there regardless if she loves him. No matter the distance.

Over all I think she is following him. He knew from the beginning and with mom not being that close she should have parked that show and gave him her support. Even if she was really upset.

The kid was lying then and admitted on National TV that he is a damn liar or am I missing something here.

LSU would have never backed off and they are not going to back off now.

Listen to yourselves!!!!!

We have an undefeated top ranked team, a better team next year and we keep reloading with talent Les and his staff can mold. Would you trade places with Bama?

Life couldn't be better for our LSU Fighting Tigers

Meh, if he was that committed I don't think he dances that much. Probabaly fell in love with the idea 2 years ago and spent the recruiting time justifying it to himself.

All that I'm saying is that they might've spent less time on him and more on someone else.

I agree that we still would have pursued him since he's such a good talent and right here in BR, but probably to a little lesser extent.

If he decided 2 years ago it was smart of him not to say anything until now....think of all of the shite he would have had to put up with. If that is true I am not as mad at the kid.

Well to be fair, life would be a little better knowing that the #1 safety in the nation were coming next year, but I'm by no means letting this change my attitude for next game and next year.

Good point. I know if I were one of his teammates or classmates, I'd give him hell for it.

This!

LC is an 18 year old kid who hasn't played a down. Yes, it is slightly disappointing, but we can all revisit these Landon Collins threads if he turns out to be a bust or if he loses to LSU 3 out of 4 years he is on campus there

How long he waited to say his intentions is not really the issue here. He purposely did not inform our staff, like he said he would, prior to his announcement.

He sold out for his 15 minutes of fame, with months of attention whoring by he and his girlfriend. Not at all different from what McKnight did.

I would argue Janzen Jackson took it a step further than both. The Devall kid is a great example of not sacrificing your home state for the sake of your own selfish marketing.

Kids that allow things to play out like this did, without having the decency to stand up to your word (informing the coaches), have core issues. I will be surprised if he reaches his potential, and even more surprised if he and Saban can co-exist. Saban's not much on the "I" and "me" types, and this kid's got major maturity issues.

It's an unanswered prayer for LSU. And for those that call this sour grapes, search my posts prior to his decision around 3 or so this afternoon. You will find that this was my statement, regardless of where he landed. He told both he was coming, however direct or indirect his childish ways allowed. You reap what you sow.
