We’ll know for sure in the future, but there is no doubt NIL has substantially changed things.
I would suspect that you are right to the extent that NIL may well result in unrealistic expectations for athletes who are not 4 and 5 star recruits.
I would hope some basic guidelines could be set to keep things under control.
