Adoree' Jackson was a very special guy and is having a great career at USC,” Miles said. “Those guys are rare. They just don't show up all the time, and you have to be -- like, for instance, to be honest with you, we probably should have used (Patrick Peterson) a little more when we got him here. I think we will have learned from that example.”

that's some refreshing honesty and I don't think he'll find many that disagree

freak athletes like that should be used as much as possible

Wow, I really like that he sees and acknowledges this. Hope to see it actually come to fruition with Miles when he says things now.

Miles says lots of things that never come true. This will be another.

Yeah, I agree. The title makes it look like I am slamming Miles, but he said it himself. Glad to hear it from him.

I always assumed they didn't use PP7 more because of the cramping issues he had while here.

I disagree! Patrick Peterson suffered from cramping that often caused him to miss defensive series. We definitely did not need to increase his workload.

That's how I remember it as well. He was definitely athletic enough to do all of that, but he was also cramping a good bit.

I believe he will use Donte Jackson like that out of the gate. We'll use him on end arounds, reverses, double reverses, RB screens, WR screens, and as a returner early. He probably doesn't really play CB until his second year.

Agreed. Tons of talent at CB. He may get some reps, but I think he'll see more time in the other parts of the game.

Is Donte really that much more of an athlete over Derrick Dillon?

Dillons tape looks great.

I'm probably not the best person to speak on Dillon, but I don't think he played against very good competition at Pine. Dillon will need a year to learn WR.

Peterson played CB and was very involved in the return game. Any more and Peterson would have fallen apart. He should be worried about getting the ball to #7 more often.

PP7 had a hard time staying in the games due to cramps. How much more could he have played and would have that kept him off the field on defense even more?

I'll believe it when I see it on the field. What evidence can anyone point to that supports this statement. PP was only slightly used in this capacity and had the ability to do so much more. We will get the worn out statement that he had the want to do this but couldn't find a good time in the game to make it happen.

Could barely play the snaps he played much less any on offense.

Who could we possibly take off of the field to get Donte some reps? Certainly not Dillon Gordon.

Does anyone remember they tried to use Peterson but he cramped up so much they cut back on his reps.

I wish somebody paid me $4.5 million per year to learn on the job.
