You hear this over and over again from recruits, so Miles must do an excellent job:

Copeland: "Les Miles was tremendous"

We would have top 3 classes every year with Miles if it weren't for the past to years.

Its LSU, it aint that hard to recruit to LSU. Regardless of who the coach is, we will always get the majority of in-state talent, this has little to do with Miles. You also better have assistants who can recruit, because thats who's doing all the work, establishing relationships, etc. The head coaches just get the credit.

If he had better seasons the last two years, he could out recruit anyone in the country. Period.

Hard to argue that point.

I agree 100%. I don't think many posters realize the impact that had on the program. That being said, LM is responsible for making sure the program has another QB ready to step in, and he failed miserably at that the past two years.

Miles is a great guy...no doubt about that. The problem with him though is coaching.

SnoNuff, you are wrong -- it's not LSU because it's LSU. You must not get out of the house much. In terms of resources, fan base, infrastructure...... we are similar to many schools i.e. MI,tOSU, ND, TN, OK, Tx, AL, AU, FL, GA, USC, NE, Penn State, ND, FSU, ......... Les connects well with the kids, and is probably his strongest skill -- LSU is NOT an automatic sell no more than others mentioned above.

Miles can recruit against all of the big boys. I would rather have him out there pitching LSU than anyone else.

He has a good season this year, and we'll keep 'em coming in.
