Met Desean Smith and Louis Neal last night

Attended the Army All-American meet and greet event last night. AAA sponsored a concert for the kids...my six year old and I wore a matching awesome Royal Purple Hoodie with Gold "LSU" letters across the chest (yes it caught everyone's attention).
As we are leaving the concert I hear from behind in a loud strong voice,"I love that jacket you are wearing"! I turn around to see this gigantic kid staring straight at us! So I say, you do? then i ask "just how much do you love this Jacket?"
Young man replied with a smile on his face "I love that jacket so much that I committed to the school!!!"
I shook his hand and introduced myself and he did the same. I began to explain to him why we were there! Just as we started my 14 year old son walked up and relieved me of that obligation, they knew each other and stArted to tAlk!!
Of course I had to play photographer all night...I didn't mind though after all, what are dads for?
Awesome kid can't wait to see him in action Saturday in the AA game!!!
That pullover had to look awesome on me and my six year old because Louis Neal stopped us to introduce himself too! He was in a rush though so we didn't get a chance to speak with him!
My six year old had the ladies all over him last night! I of course couldn't catch a break!!!

I have to assume that they met at the TIGERS summer camp. Desean lives in Lake Charles which is about two hours from our home in Baton Rouge.

Lake Chuck kid is the real deal. I think he will be on lots of higlight films before his Tiger career is over. Good athlete and good person both qualities important to success on an off the field.

That's awesome, man. I'm really excited about these kid's future as LSU Tigers.

As a father of grown kids, I'll answer that. The 14 year old boy is waaaay too cool to match his brother and, especially, his nerd dad!
Don't worry, though, dad, in another three or four years you'll be cool again.

Actually the pullover that I was wearing belonged to him! And I did get this question, "exactly WHY are you wearing my pullover?" To which I replied, "the same reason you are sleeping in my hotel room!!"
Seriously though, He and his teammates wore their EASTBAY All-American game jerseys to the concert
