I want this guy at LSU soooo bad. Great combination of speed, size, and toughness.

This thread would immediately make him my favorite player if signed.

The only thing that I see as a possible problem for your son getting an offer is this recruiting board.

If the coaches think this would establish a precedent of ALL recruits " passing through this board for approval", your son may have to be sacrificed. lol:

I think time may be running out, unfortunately. Quiet period is ending. Basically, for face-2-face contact it either needs to happen in the next 2 days, on Feb 2nd, or the Holland's would have to be willing to delay sending in a LOI later in the siging period (Feb 5 - April 1).

Regardless of how this unfolds we gave it our best. Melvin Jr will play football somewhere and I truly believe wherever that may be he will be a play-maker.

Well how about this Sr & Jr Holland, since even if LSU could get a face-2-face set up I don't think Melvin could workout for them (non-eval period). So the coaches would have never seen him in action.

So... maybe give it one day past NSD before signing his LOI to another school to see how LSU ends up on numbers (Dupre, flips, surprises)? That gives it a chance.

confused. based on information you showed, why couldn't they have contact between January 17-February 1?

they can have contact, but can't have face-2-face in dead period. Goal here is to get coaches to see him in person, preferably with drills. Doubtful LSU offers a skill position without seeing in-game or in camp setting (drills).

And I do not know if he can workout for them in quiet period anyway. Don't think he can. Tired of researching such things. So feel free.

But the only dead periods you show are 8 days (January 13-16 and February 3-6)

I don't believe you HAVE to come to camp or workout in front of LSU coaches. did the rushing kid come to camp? what about the wr committed to ut or the dt fromut? can't imagine all these kids camped at LSU.

They didn't

The film is there. If they want to offer him, they will.

Hopefully they pick him up

Hope he comes. If not, he may end up like Colston at Hofstra.
