Tigers going in Texas dry
Four-star defensive tackle Marvin Wilson spent Memorial Day on the LSU campus.
The Houston native played in an AAU basketball tournament over the weekend in New Orleans. He stopped in Baton Rouge on his way home to check out the LSU campus and football facilities.
LSU offered Wilson less than a week ago, so the Tigers are following that up with an unofficial visit. Wilson already ranks as a four-star prospect and should be one of the top players in Texas for the 2017 class. Wilson was one of the top performers earlier this spring at The Opening regional in New Orleans.
LSU also had coaches stop by Wilson's school during sweeps through Houston in the evaluation period.
Wilson called LSU one of his dream schools growing up. He has family in Lafayette and Opelousas, so he has connections to Louisiana that could pay off for LSU.
LSU's poised to land a major haul of defensive linemen in both the 2016 and 2017 classes with Ed Orgeron at the helm. The Tigers already have a five-star committed in 2016 (Ed Alexander) and a four-star in 2017 (Tyler Shelvin). There are several major targets on the board in both classes, and Wilson's one of the top guys.

I bet no one on the opposing team drives the basket when he is in the game. All jump shots from the outside.
