I think it rules out places like Kansas and N.C. State since he, to my knowledge, hasn't visited up there. He's been to Kentucky, and he's been to LSU (when LSU played Kentucky). I suspect he's familiar enough with MSU because of where he lives. I dunno....I'd have felt better if the coaches and players would have had a chance to give him the red carpet treatment here. We shall see...

How do you expect anyone on here to know for sure?

I don't. Truthfully, nobody here knows shite about much of anything. (Nothing is EVER sure in recruiting.) But, sometimes it's entertaining to discuss and speculate a little. Lighten up Frances.

He just has to get his mind right. Hope he ends up in P&G!

Looks best for Kentucky, MS State, and LSU, obviously. Here's hoping he wants to wear the P&G.

We also need a Center.

It worries me that he will not take any more visits. But he is a great player, and beenaybe the best player in the entire state of Mississippi after Rodney Hood and JOB3 left.

As it gets closer to him signing I think State will gaij more ground.

Very mature for his age, been in the spotlight since he was in the 6th grade. Howland just got the job and needs a splash and no doubt Newman would do it. Dont ask me how I know just know from living in MS and him going to school in the JPS, the farther this stretches State will "find" a way to get him.

Another one? There are two on the roster right now that haven't contributed much.

With the style this team wants to play, a traditional "Center" is a hindrance. Find and athletic PF or two. Someone between 6'7" and 6'9" who can run, defend and rebound. That guy being a great scorer won't be necessary on next year's team. Just need someone who can control the glass and paint on defense.

Kasongo fits that mold, but we may be focusing more on the Greek one that I'm not even gonna try and spell his name

On Malik, as long as he goes anywhere besides Kentucky I would be fine. Calipari has already lost two other targets in the past week in Swanigan to Michigan State (which surprised a lot) and Ivan Rabb to California, which means the odds of Jaylen Brown leaving the state very slim. His options are dwindling to fill a huge void on that roster
