Major Burns Just Committed to UGA

This one kinda stings... I have faith in the staff to properly fill out his spot though.

My son just sent me this:

LSU dialed up Major Burns last night and said they would not be able to send paperwork next week for him to sign. He wants to still potentially be a mid-year enrollee so he's looking around at some other options. Burns is a really good player and great kid and student. Tough news, for sure. That said, it just came down to numbers here. I don't expect them to use the spot on another CB or they would have just kept Burns. - Shea

I was never high on this kid. Of course, I've sort of been spoiled by all of LSU's great corners. I wonder how much he talked with Burton and Burch?

If those two flip at the last minute because of a pissed off kid from Louisiana that they likley barely know - if at all - we never had them in the first place.

I think some of you overestimate just how well these kids know each other and talk. There are hundreds of elite prospects each year. They aren't all influential best friends.

The coaches know they're putting their own arse on the line by processing these kids. I would imagine they have reason to believe these moves are necessary and beneficial.
