biggest tell in his quote is that he's happy etling is the qb because that means it's possible for him to start his first year.
i'm going to take a leap here and say that it seems obvious Patterson all but made a death promise that the kid can start right away at TCU.
makes sense - TCU and NC for the number 1 DT QB in his class? they are almost guaranteeing him the starting job if he comes.
so while LSU is a possibility, it's more of a reach because of the competition.

I can't wait for the high school football season to start. I live about 15 min from Parkway and really wanna see this Terrace Marshall kid.
He is an absolute stud. I grew up with his dad and his aunts / uncles (there are like 10 of them). Great family and all were really good athletes at Northwood. There will be more high level athletes from that family tree. I am hoping that the closeness of his family wants him to stay home. They are as tight as they get.

I think the Hat on the Table is over with the Early Signing Date.
The early signing date doesn't preclude these kids putting on the theatrics when they announce.

I take that as good news, PortCity.
My biggest concern about Rogers is that he would be unduly influenced by Feaster and those at Parkway who blame Harris' inaccuracy and benching on LSU unfairness.
I think he would be far better off in the SEC and Les/Cam are gone.

Yes, he is no longer the Parkway coach.
Do you think his influence disappeared ?

Feaster didn't like Les.
I think bringing in the ECA boys will help. Love that O is making North LA a priority.

GP may give him the opportunity to play for the starting position but TCU got Shawn Robinson last year who is another highly touted QB. They also just had another QB announce he is transferring out because of the depth chart so I think you have this TCU team confused with say circa 2000s team. We aren't Ohio State in terms of QB depth but the cupboard is not bare.

Justin Fields is the #1 DT QB in this class and it isn't even remotely close. 6'3 220 runs a 4.51 and completed 67% of passes last year. Idk why ever offensive coach on our staff isn't trying to communicate with him daily

This has been over. Good luck to him.

Damn, you should've told Andy Reid this prior to the draft. He probably feels foolish now.
If he doesn't, he should.

Why would he come here when we just signed 2 QBs for in the 2017 class? I don't blame him for looking elsewhere.
You're thinking logically. The idiots won't like that.

I think they pretty much are. Seems like we are turning up the heat on him. It's hard to come in once a qb is already committed and has ties to the school. Unless you're Felipe Franks
I think we will just have to wait it out and see if the new look offense can garner us some interest otherwise I could see us looking to next year for our next big time QB
