LSU is actually 5th in points per player in the Rivals rankings. The tigers have a 3.63 average player ranking. We just have not signed as many players as most of the top ten have. If we keep this average or improve it, we will finish high in 2015 recruiting rankings.
Sorry if this is germans, but I don't get on that often.

Yeah, besides IMO the services not actually seeing a lot of the players either in person or video and thus just "defaulting" them a low 3* or 2* rating, my main problem with the ratings is what you just stated. And amazingly they give credit to teams who have over 25 commits, know some of these guys have 0% of not having to go to JUCO, etc. Oh, and some brag that "we only take the top such and such number" so having 33 commits doesn't skew the ratings. Of course, it skews the ratings...any intelligent person knows it skews the ratings. One, they are giving credit for guys who have 0 chance of making it into that school and two if you wanted to have a higher rating, you think you would have a better chance with taking the top 20 out of 33 or the top 20 out of 23? Not rocket science what the answer is.

IF you want to go by class rankings...and I discourage that anyway, the ONLY thing that makes sense is average rating per player. That at least takes most of the oversigning edge out of the rankings.
